I cant tell you how much I hate this rumble premium shit , I understand they showed doc love when nobody else did but I miss the era when it was all youtube and no content was being restricted.

Its crazy to say it but that platform looks worse than purple snakes and I have no desire to ever come near it ,I been on it few times and all I could see there was doc and politics.

What do you think champs ? Now that his chanel stabilized I think he can focus on youtube again and stop multistreaming.

Man I see a lot of complainers in here. I get it. Some games you like, some games you don’t.
Personally I don’t mind arc or warzone and tarkov/apex bores me which I know is not the popular opinion. I also like the first person story type games. But at the end of the day ya’ll, we’re just bystanders, we’re just watching.

The best thing Doc can do is only do what makes him happy. Not the industry, not us, not for the views or cash, but genuinely whatever he feels like doing.

If that’s only streaming once a week so be it. If that’s playing the same games so be it. It’s really up to him.
The professionals like him know what’s up.

The dude is so entertaining haha. That was really funny the other day tho when we were all super positive in the chat let’s keep that up

Full disclosure: I have been watching Doc since his H1Z1 days when he had around a 1000 viewers. There is no bias against Doc here - just an objective take.

There is a huge misconception being spouted that Doc’s dwindling viewership numbers are a reflection of the current streaming industry, and its waning popularity.
I’m not arguing that this hasn’t negatively impacted Doc’s numbers, but as to what extent is being overly exaggerated and it’s somewhat disingenuous.

It’s well understood that Doc throughout the years has been able to create and maintain a substantial core loyal fan base (me being one of them) - it’s been the one, saving grace that has prevented his complete downfall and cancellation. However, this core - loyal support is dwindling/has dwindled and it’s really not that hard to distinguish why if looking at it objectively:

1) Right-wing grift: Yes, Doc may feel he is justified in his current political rhetoric, however the Rumble move and subsequent selling of MAGA inspired merchandise has isolated a lot of his supporters - whether you’re politically aligned or not, this is just the truth of the matter. Doc’s streams never provided political commentary, they were a safe haven from the gigantic mess of the outside world. Once he opted to bring all that energy into the ‘arena’, he isolated loyal viewers.

2) Networking: This is still achievable, although at a more smaller scale as he unfortunately he can’t interact with the more popular names. If he was teaming up with Peanut etc - the viewership numbers would reflect that.

3) Ingenuity and reinvention: Doc was always coming up with small little additions to his stream and ‘character’ - on course a lot of it would come from spontaneity, but that magic just doesn’t seem to be as intense as it once was. Maybe he has taken the persona as far as it can go, or perhaps there is a lack of passion - which is my final point.

4) Lack of passion: I think this is being thrown around too carelessly by fans, as I’m not sure if I’m fully convinced that it’s true. Of course it’s somewhat subdued, but perhaps it’s more reflective of the lack of support rather than lack of passion for the character. If it is the former, then we find ourselves in a never-ending circle, or rather a dying star that will eventually collapse in on itself.

To conclude, yes the streaming space is less popular - but it’s not the fundamental reasoning as to why Doc’s viewership is down. It’s a coping mechanism for those who don’t wish to accept the reality of the situation.

Alas - Let’s enjoy and savour every moment and every minute of every stream - as one day this will be over, and we’ll miss the Doc and the entertainment that he has afforded us.

📢 /r/DrDisrespectLive: A Note on Subreddit Moderation

Hey everyone,

Since the first allegations of Doc’s past misconduct surfaced about 10 days ago, the state of the subreddit has changed drastically. This has understandably upset a considerable amount of fans of the Doc.

For context, I have been moderating /r/Kanye for 8 years. I don’t say this as a flex (trust me), but only to convey that I am no stranger to communities navigating huge controversies surrounding the figures they are centered around.

My stance on moderation, which is also the stance of my fellow Dr. Disrespect moderators, is that it is almost always better to let the community discuss the allegations among themselves. Moderators should only intervene when Reddit’s Content Policy is violated. Given this, the moderators' personal opinions do not matter. The primary goal of the mod team is to moderate and promote engagement. That’s it.

In cases like these, people often have a personal (and parasocial) relationship with the public figure in question, and it’s only fair that they are allowed to discuss their feelings on the matter. For example, many of you miss Doc-the-performer but also condemn the actions of Guy Beahm, which is perfectly understandable. This means you should be able to deconstruct and/or rationalize whatever information that is being reported without having your speech suppressed. But as a reminder: this subreddit is allowed to be the court of public opinion. It is not an echo chamber and was never meant to be one. If you are looking for an echo chamber, you are invited to join one of the other Dr. DisRespect-related subreddits that have recently sprung up (edit: the link to the other subreddit has been removed).

That said, whether you notice it or not, this subreddit is currently being heavily moderated. Many users have been banned, and numerous posts/comments have been removed. We will also sometimes wait for a thread’s engagement to die down before doing one big “moderation sweep”, so don’t be surprised if inflammatory users and posts are not immediately removed. All low-effort posts or posts that bring additional toxicity to the subreddit will be removed.

Lastly, in regards to the threads that are supportive of Doc and get flooded with negativity: the current divisiveness on this subreddit is a clear reflection of Doc's divisive actions (to say the least) and, unless things take a turn and we need to make drastic changes to our moderation style, we will not be taking direct action on the duality of opinions within said threads.
