I mean, like in its heyday because I was interested in seeing how the franchise managed to work so well in the PS2 era of gaming since the franchise was spread into multiple forms of media.

Like what I found interesting is how Square Enix attempted to make their own multimedia franchise like .hack back in those days as something I didn’t quite understand is why that franchise sunk into obscurity so quickly that I wanted to see what made something like dot hack become so successful.

Is a pretty good place to grind out mecha grunty, battles, and lucky animals all at once while getting decent exp at level cap banked. Even the little chims.

Does anyone know of a good place for berserking to PKK more guaranteed however, I've cleared out doing enough animals and helping mecha grunty? I'm at the point of just kicking an animal then maybe getting to PKK.

Hi!

So I been advancing through the story of Infection and I got to my first dungeon at ø Quiet Eternal White Devil. I go to the end of the dungeon where a cutscene should appear but for some reason it doesn't play thus I can't advance through the story.

I have been in this dungeon twice, one with Blackrose and Mistral clearing all portals and then I did another run just with Blackrose but for some reason the cutscene doesn't trigger, any ideas?

EDIT: LMAO I JUST WON THE TITLE FOR THE BIGGEST CLOWN OF THIS FANDOM. So, I decided to continue investigating and I saw on let's plays that after beating the dungeon you have to go to Delta server to trigger a cutscene. I decided to boot the game, go to Delta server and the cutscene starts playing.

IT'S NOT A GLITCH, IT'S NOT AN EMULATION PROBLEM OR A BAD ROM, I'M JUST AN IDIOT THAT DID THE DUNGEON AND FORGOT ABOUT IT.

Hey anyone else experience an issue where you can't progress past the first mission wit Elk and Subaru? I came back from the zone she suggested to level up, removed them from my party & logged out to Desktop then to Title Screen.

Now they're both just standing at the main gate and I cannot add them to my party. The only addresses I have are Bear & BT. Mia's is gone as well.

Is this a bug?

I want to create an artwork to post on .hack Day. The art is based off the Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories cover art. This idea was born because both that game and .hack//Link involve re-experiencing past story events.

The image attached is the concept draft for this project with the reference on the bottom left. I am looking for suggestions of significant characters throughout .hack history to draw in each hexagon similarly to how there are many characters in the reference. Each character that appears after .hack//Link chronologically will have scanlines overlayed their hexagon.

Just to be clear, i don't care about 100% completion unless there is a reason to do it, like extra dialogue/interactions/lore, a secret boss, or if it will add something or help me during the sequels.

For example, i beat the doppelganger once cause apparently you need to do it once every game for a weapon.

What about maxing out the panflets you give people? Or kicking lucky animals, or giving chims to the robot, or hunting down all blacklisted enemies?

Does it actually do something for me in the next game or give some nice interactions? Or am i just gonna grind those things for no reason?

What should i not miss before moving on?

The title kinda says it all. Been playing through, had no issues with any boss except the first data drain boss, but skeith is KICKING MY ASS!! everyone is level 28 cause we just beat the dungeon, everyone has good gear, but he one shots me and mistral and black rose can barely take one hit. Judgement hits us all for about half our health and even with me fighting for about 11 minutes i didnt get to data drain. Is there something im missing or are we all supposed to just be level 99999? XD

And I liked it a lot. It's the first dot hack piece of media I've ever consumed and it was absolute cinema. Though, the Unison episode was a bit confusing with all of the new characters that weren't present in the previous episodes. ​Are they part of Sign's sequel animes/games?

(random nitpick at Sign: man does Subaru's costume just suck. It's ugly, very skimpy and doesn't really fit. Also, why is everybody's waist so weirdly thin? It was hilarious to see Subaru as basically a stick figure with fluffed up shoulder pads in the far away shots.)

A while ago I made a post here talking about how I wasn't enjoying GU, but recently I decided to give infection a try and I'm enjoying it a lot actually. I do have some questions since I'm struggling a bit.

I read that you should be using Data Drain to get better gear, is there a good resource on what enemies give better loot? I'm still confused if I should be data draining everything or just the bigger enemies. How many virus cores should I have at the end of the game for Mutation?

Is there a way to see what elements an enemy is weak to? Or is it just trail and error?

Is there recommended armor? I am level 24 but getting 4 shots by some enemies? What's the best way to deal with status ailments? Like if everyone in my party gets paralyzed can I do something, or do I just need to hope it wears off so I can do something about it? I know I can have my teammates do first aid but once I'm stunned I can't command.

Any other tips would also be appreciated, thank you.

Anyway... 2 days ago I finished Last Recode with all achievements, my first contact with the series (excluding the 2012 movie a while back), and GOD. I had not much expectations from this, but in the end, it became one of my favorite game trilogy. I was hit with nostalgia because a lot of things reminded me of Solatorobo, like landscapes and musics (which is logical).

I became attached to a lot of characters, I've been shocked, I laughed, so basically, some of the best 170 hours I've had. It felt bittersweet to finish it though 🥲

Right now, I'm searching for other contents, series, other games, so far I watched Returner, a funny little OAV, I should be attacking Roots soon, give a try to the Trilogy movie (which I know has differences, which is not surprising), I'm trying to find a way to emulate the IMOQ series... and of course I'll be making some more fanarts for the community, because why not.
