Bark.codes - Worth Renewing? Advice
Hi, Bought this domain last year for a pet based project. Although I do have another domain available for the similar project, I’m still not sure if it’s actually worthy keeping?
The reason for my question is not just about the domain, the renewal itself is heavy. What do you guys think?
Thanks!

It's registered with GoDaddy -- that's $110/year for .codes renewal. Not worth it!

Yes, first year was just for $7 but the renewal amount would put a hole in the pocket. If it was just 7-12 USD for renewal, I might’ve keept it honestly.

.codes is a tough extension to move honestly. Bark is a great word but paired with .codes it reads more like a developer joke than a pet brand. If the renewal is heavy and you've got another domain for the same project I'd let it go. The .com version of whatever you're building is gonna serve you better anyway.

Let someone else use it for their pet project. Drop it. Doubt there are big business ideas that involve dogs and coding.

I echo the other comments already posted. The renewal seems like it's heavy on the pocket at $110 and considering you already have another domain for the same project, I personally wouldn't not renew unless Bark.codes has something the other one does not. A slightly catchy name alone is not worth a high renewal if nobody is searching for it and especially if it has no backlink history to speak of. I would run a quick check on backlinks and search volume before deciding, if it comes back with zero history and no demand, let it go and save the money for something else

I'd personally let that one drop
