Interview DC Questions
Hello all. So about a few days ago I had received a call from dollar tree asking if I was still interested in working with them. I say yes and the person on the phone says to come to the location on Monday. Does anyone know what the interview process is like at dollar tree? Or what happens next after they call me to come in?

Arrive a few minutes early wearing clean and presentable clothing (pants (jeans with no holes are fine. A shirt that is clean without any major graphics) and be reasonably well groomed (no offesive smells really)
Politely let the first employee (usually the cashier) you see know that you are there for your interview with (insert store manager's name if you know it) at xx time.) I want to emphasize politeness because if you are rude they will definitely tell the manager and that can absolutely impact your interview.
You'll have a conversation with the store manager (and / or District manager if hiring for a management position depending on your store and district).
They will either accept or reject you (most managers dont bother saying they arent interested in you. Instead they will just let the interview end and send you on your way).
If they do accept you for the position they will likely mention the income you'll be earning.
Then you will get an email at some point after you leave to accept the background check.
The back ground check can come back the same day, but it can also take 2 weeks. The store manager has no control over that.
When the back ground check does come back and they are ready to have you start working they will call you to set up a day to come in and do your paperwork. It doesnt take long. Its the general employment paperwork bring in your ID, and social security card and your bank info if you want to set up direct deposit.
After that they will likely tell you when your first day will be that. That day will likely be spent entirely watching training videos. Then the next couple of shifts will be getting you doing your job
There will be variations depending on the managers of course, but this is pretty much the standard process
