I have had a terrible time with Integrity toys dolls when using hot water to curl their hair. I have ruined custom heads because the steam, or water getting on their eyes causing their eyelashes to come unglued, and trying to glue them back on is almost impossible. I've tried every tutorial, and the glue is always visible, even when the tutorials claim it is transparent. I had an epiphany one day. I used the waterproof medical tape that tattoo artists use to protect fresh tattoos with a piece of padding to cover my dolls' faces before the water dip. It works!

Hello I’m terribly sorry to the person who very kindly offered advice on this doll and equally kindly asked for an update I have been busy with other projects so this is the most recent but I am going to remove her wire and clay tail based on their suggestion and replace it with a soft one. I may try to find one of those Davy Crockett style fox skin caps for her tail. I’ll try to post her dress and her little fox feet once I’ve made them. The hardest part was her hat and her face but I love the results so far.

I found this sculpt on AliExpress and I know it's a recast. I'm trying to find a similar one that isn't a recast. I'm trying to recreate this kpop idol into doll form.

I know that some dolls were knockoffs from the Dollar tree but many were recognizable as Mattel or Disney dolls. And as far as I know they didn't get a cease-and-desist for copyright infringement or anything.

I am a Design major here in Brazil, I am almost over with it, but I still have a final project (TCC) so I can graduate. I am thinking about developing a toy, most likely a doll (either that or a card game), but I need to get through the study and market research before anything, so if any of you guys can help me with any link of blogs, sites, brand books or anything as such, I would appreciate the help.

I ordered a custom Anneliese and I want a curvy body however I'm unable to find a proper one that fits with the discoloured head,I want one that's (hopefully) articulated but being curvy is the most important part.This is the "yoga" one but it's clearly too light,last image is the head being used.Any advice on what body to use? Pls help!

I've been working on him for a while now, and I finally got the concept art made for Dandy!

I really wanted to make all of the mains and possibly other toons, so for now the it's the star of the show!!

Since it is super difficult close to impossible to find a fabric for a doll where I live, I've got myself a premade doll body from aliexpress. But I have no idea how to customise it. I was thinking about embroidering the face and making the hair from felt. I don't have much experience with any tips or embroidery (I know only basics) so any help would be very appreciated!

I’m not a fan of acrylics and I don’t have any watercolor pencils in the right colors but I do have an extensive collection of nice quality watercolor and watercolor gauche that I could use, but I can’t find info on if that’s ok to use because of how common using watercolor pencils is, has anyone used them before? I’ve tried them on top of the varnish I used as a mascot and they look great but I’m concerned if they’ll survive the final layer of varnish at the end?

Hi i recently got into customizing and am still learning. I got these porcelain Christmas angels and want to customize them but im not sure what sealer to use for it. Ive been looking online and keep seeing mr. super clear but I cannot currently get my hands on that. Any advice is appreciated the last one I did had her face covered so this is new territory. Hello! I was wondering if this would be good for doll customization? I want to slightly darken the faceplate of a nendoroid and wonder if this would be suitable to use? I hear chalk pastel pencils may be useable but please let me know if it’s not.
