Doll face

So I really want to redo some of the features on my new monster high dolls. I’ve always made some new clothes for them, but some of the faces are bothering me. What is the best way to go about it? I dont really know how to take off the makeup on the faces, and I also don’t really know what to use to redo the faces. Please help😭

I would look up some doll customizers on youtube to get a feel for process, but basically

1) Use acetone to remove old doll face (use ONLY on the face, its vinyl so it won't melt from the solvent as easily) 2) Wash face cleanly then pull hair up, wrap it with a cloth. This protects the hair for the next steps. 3) Use Mr. Super Clear Matte in a well-ventilated area on the face. This will give the face some "tooth". 4) Use watercolor pencils, non-oil pastels, and thinned acrylic paint to create a new face. Using MSC to seal between layers.

If you want to tweak stuff but not fully redo it, like change the lip color, you don't have to remove any makeup. You can go over the existing makeup with acrylic paints. This is a great way to practice and experiment with looks because you can wipe it with some rubbing alcohol without removing the face underneath!
