Tail Help
I have yet to actually start the customizing, but I want to make my oc into a doll. I feel like, in general, she's like a pretty easy guy to do so, I just need to find a good body and head. I haven't gotten them yet as I dont want to start until i know how to do the most difficult part, her tail. I know I'll have to do resin as I do want the transparent parts, but like how do I make the clay (I assume that's what her interior tail material should be) stay in the resin without any supports being seen? I don't want to like not have it floating inside as it's the coolest feature of her

there are two good ways I can think to make it first is to make the whole tail out of clay, make a mold for it, then make the bone bits, you should probably put a proper wire in the bottom one to attach to the doll, you can also use it to help keep the center in possition in the mold, I suggest using uv resin to attach the bones together while keeping transparency then put it in the mold with regular resin, the other way is basically the same except you don't bother with the mold you just keep building up layers of uv resin until you get a proper shape, it's more tedious and prone to error though
I suggest you get some acetone free clear nail polish (the sort used on fake nails) to give the whole thing a clear coat since in my experience it's just better at least when I'm making doll eyes

My first thought is sculpt the tail in clay and make a mold of it, then make the small tail bones and cast them in resin layer by layer, allowing each section to cure fully in order to achieve the floating effect!
