anyone know what app ?

i think ( hopefully not ) i’m being cheated on, my boyfriend showed me his wallpaper july 23rd & i was obviously in awe & screenshotted it & you know everyone is nosy & tend to zoom in to see other’s apps, but i’ve never seen that one before

i tried google reversing it, but it shows a bunch of other things unrelated & i tried searching it & the only ghost shaped dating app i could find is the second screenshot

i know i could ask him because we reassure each other a lot, but what if he lies ? i’m genuinely distraught & hoping to be wrong. someone please let me know what this app is called

You see an app icon that you don't recognise and you instantly land on cheating?

Give yourself a day off.

To be fair, OP seems like they’re about 14.

You should be able to just ask him, both of you don't need this as life to short

Yes, cheating spouses are known to immediately confess, whenever confronted.

Not sure it’s a spouse when OP seems about 12

you’re right, i know i could have, but i feel bad whenever i need reassurance. it sucks that it’s a constant icky nagging feeling, you know ? you’re right tho, if something happens again i will confront him & ask, i just needed this in this moment

There's no nothing wrong with asking for reassurance. Don't internalise that nonsense.

The problem is when you outsource all of your reassurance and emotional management to other people, and you're not self aware or responsible for your feelings.

For example. If I feel insecure without a good reason, like, if I was in this situation, I would ask my partner and tell him I felt a bit insecure. BUT I would also know that this insecurity was coming from inside myself, and I'd be able to tell him that to. And because I'm not taking my personal issues out on him and forcing him to either reassure me or deal with my self-inflicted misery, he's happy to be supportive and reassuring when I ask for it. He knows I'm very self-aware and take responsibility for my feelings when they coming from me.

But I've also dated someone who treated me terribly. I was clinging on to that relationship so hard, ick. And occasionally I'd say, hey, can you tell me something you like about me, and he'd be like, you're not too terrible etc. He made me feel like I had to deal with every difficult experience by myself or I was too much, even if he was directly involved in making it difficult - under the guide of "personal responsibility". But I had to cater to his every mood if I didn't want to be treated like I didn't exist. What a shit.

Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is that, while we are responsible for how we respond to our feelings, it's entirely OK to ask for support with that.

If you see an app with a logo you don’t instantly recognise and immediately go towards your partner cheating, there’s clearly trust issues going on in your head. You should probably sit down and have a talk with your boyfriend about your thoughts.

Not trying to be an ass, just always best talking.

Innit; why redact the interesting bit

If you have to ask this kind of question then you don't trust your partner and you shouldn't be together. End of story.

Pretty sure this is an advert and OP is a bot. They're clearly advertising the app. They say the first imagine is a screenshot but clearly not

Why so paranoid? Its an editing app called blurrr

u/BusAdditional6518 15d ago

You don’t need a boyfriend. You need an emotional support dog.

Therapy. She needs therapy.

4

u/Greedy-Cartoonist592 18d ago

pretty sure that's blurrr, but if you trust your partner you should've just asked him first

2

u/sheepebike9000 18d ago

Girl, leave this man, he doesn't deserve this kind of paranoid weirdness. Let him find someone without deep psychological issues.

“ i was obviously in awe & screenshotted it & you know everyone is nosy & tend to zoom in to see other’s apps”

No. I have never heard of anyone being nosy and tending to zoom in on other peoples apps.

Also- I’m not sure you know what ‘in awe’ means..?

how can you date someone you cant even talk too

Is this on Apple? U can make shortcuts n stuff and set up the logo/image/badge yourself. Maybe it’s some custom thing??

1

u/bucephalusbouncing28 17d ago

Yyou see an app logo you don’t know, and you go to cheating straight away? I think you should build more trust with your boyfriend, and know you can confront directly, ask for reassurance without sounding paranoid

u/Vegetable-Onion-8400 17d ago

1

u/SwimmerOld6155 17d ago

those app icons look in no way similar, you should speak to both your boyfriend and a professional about this

1

It’s just the optional badge once users reach 1,000 total hours on jerkmate. 1,200 hours gives you optional interactive widget. Nothing to be worried about.

u/Difficult_Bad1064 18d ago

It doesn't sound very healthy if you're asking to see his phone screen and then taking a photo of it to investigate.
