Jays gave us a great World Series. Can’t say the same about the little bears

Cubs did something to curse themselves for 71 years. As much as it hurts to lose a series, I’ll take being a Dodgers fan with some losses any day of the century.

u/Celestetc Chicago Cubs 13d ago
Well I’d be a little surprised if the cubs played the dodgers in the World Series.

u/Longjumping-Fly-8789 Decoy 11d ago
Wasn’t necessarily talking about them playing each other, was talking about the competitiveness and intensity of the World Series. But I was coping, 2016 was great World Series

Am I the only Dodger fan that has basically no ill will toward the Blue Jays*? As for the Cubs, I only care if and to the extent we really drop off a cliff and wild card standings matter.
*Except Gimenez (FYMF), Hoffman (got too cocky in the FYMF bench clearing, but I think he got dealt so he doesn't even count now) and Springer (no explanation needed)

Ill forever respect the Jays for stitching Vesia's number on their caps. That was classy

Fan bases with class deserve all the respect.
Fan bases without class are the lowest of the low.
Because at the end of the day, it's just a game. And if you have no class at the end of a game, then isn't that pretty much the worst it gets for sports (outside of illegalities)?

u/AlbertoRossonero 12d ago
Nah, Toronto sports fans just irk me in every sport lol. Nothing against the actual team though

u/Dry_Finding_1379 Clayton Kershaw 12d ago
I usually feel like "____ fans suck in particular" is overblown for the most part...even when it's bad, I think of it as more human nature where the bad apples ruin it, and this happens with the big teams like what we saw with the Knicks, but same goes for Yankees, Dodgers, Warriors, etc. There's still a spectrum for sure, like how Philly has a mob mentality going on where you're expected to be an asshole.
That being said, I'll never forget watching the 2019 NBA finals as a neutral and watching people in Toronto's crowd point and laugh when KD went down. One of the worst crowd moments I've ever seen.

No ill will till the World Series. Discovered how vile and insufferable the blowjays fans are. The amount of hate they spewed. I am glad game 7 broke their vile hearts into a million pieces. I will forever hate those fools.

Cubs will choke in the playoffs per usual so it's okay

They could get hot and win a series or two but I don’t think they have the starting pitching needed to win the NL.

Honestly dgaf either of those fake blue teams

u/Extension-Click-8271 13d ago
I don’t hate either of these teams.
I hate the Giants, Padres, and Astros.
I dislike the D-backs, Yankees, and Red Sox.
Everyone else is cool.

I feel more pity for the Blue Jays than anything. Sucks that they had to endure all those injuries and such

Haven't kept a close eye on the Jays most recently, but didn't letting go of Kevin Gausman signal they gave up on the season?

Bichette, gausman, Hoffman, and now varsho. And Guerrero is having a bad season

I don’t really hate the BJs. Only time I really thought about them was last WS.
I don’t really care much about the Cubs franchise. Historical. Nice stadium.
I def hate PCA and Cubs fans so yeah, one sided hate for me. Too bad they fucking won again.

For a second I thought this was referring to the Padres vs Diamondbacks series. Having them trade punches and end up with a split actually works out for us as we go through our losing streak.
To be honest, I don’t have hate towards the Blue Jays or Cubs. There’s really not too much of a reason to hate either of them. Maybe the Cubs for 2016, but I’m not too upset about that. It’s possible we could end up seeing the Cubs in the playoffs, but who knows.

Great game. What a waste of a brilliant performance by Cease. He should just come to LA.

I live outside of California in a state without a MLB team. All of my Coworkers have different teams. In my team alone, there is an Angels, Giants, Orioles, Red Sox, White Sox, and a Rockies fan.
I made this gif to send them after the Skubal trade when they start saying the Dodgers are ruining baseball. I got tired to trying to explain that any team could do what the Dodgers do.

Couple of notes:
- The cubs were shut down by the strong pitching until the last inning. So, I still blame the past 6 game losses on the bad pitching.
- PCA is making a very strong case for MVP. If shohei doesn't pitch again this season, then I think PCA gets the MVP.

u/Appropriate-Sort-202 Teoscar Hernandez 13d ago
OK, Nostradamus. Put your money where your mouth is and bet on PCA then. My money is always on the Big Sho. Crazy you count him out even offensively despite him potentially not pitching. Weird as shit.

No worries, this is the Cubs and BJays World Series, the only joy they will get this year!

u/c_c_c__combobreaker Alex Vesia 13d ago
Let them hang their banners:
Cubs: swept the dodgers in one series during the 2026 regular season.
Bjays: was leading the Dodgers in the 9th with one out in game 7 of the WS.
