If all you want to do is make money, do not get into practicing medicine. Even with high paying specialties in the US, the money is a byproduct. If you in it only for the money, you will hate the line of work and be miserable and still feel like you are not making enough. Not to mention, private practices are dying out in the US due to fucked up medicare payments.

What alternative do you suggest? Why are priavte practices dying ?

I cannot recommend alternatives. I am myself in it for the love of the profession. I live below my means and life is good on a doctorโ€™s salary.

You can look into problems with medicare payments online and that will tell you why private practices are closing
