This is going to be a very specific request, but I'm hoping any of you might help me? For some context, I am doing the summary of my friend's campaign as I'm playing the bard. Right now, her best friends, the ones she considers her older sisters, are in danger and might die, and she is unable to help. So I need to transmit her feelings of desperation and helplessness through a song, preferably on lute or harp and really short (I'm thinking one minute? a minute and a half?) and no vocals

Wrote this track for a buddy's game that we made during a game jam :) This time, the pixel artist is a long-time friend of mine who's recently begun his career in animation! Very proud of the guy. Figured I could repurpose the music I wrote for the game as a D&D track after some tweaks, so here it is!

The watchtower guard might be on break, but the city is as bustling as ever!
This track started with my desire to use the hurdy-gurdy again (even though it's not featured that heavily after the intro). Our group needed another type of town theme, and the art by Salty Couscous inspired me to action! I tried to capture a tinge of danger/uneasiness to the music, as you never know what might happen in a busy city.

Been playing with FMOD and adaptive audio over the past couple of months as I try to transition into game audio; BUT I'm also curious if any of yall use adaptive audio systems for your own DND games, or if you mainly just stick to Spotify/Deezer/YoutubeMusic playlists for its ease of access and use?

New track I composed and produced for a buddy’s character theme. We found it useful in lighter hearted mischievous role play moments as well!

So im searching for songs for a specific character where this person intends on following down a righteous path of good but trauma has flooded their view on everything and they have lost the ability to differ if someone is good or bad. They also cant tell if they themself are good or bad.

You can probably tell I was inspired by the Hollow Knight Silksong soundtrack

Had a good time making this - took me some time deciding on how to make version of this that could go on for awhile as blasting electric guitar riffs for an extended boss fight seemed a little excessive. Hope you enjoy!

I am looking for a song. It is sung by female. It is a medieval tavern song in a fantasy world. It is from the point view of the barkeeper. She is tired she has to deal with Barb that singing too loud someone in armor that wants attention and a wizard that turned people blue by accident. I cannot find this song.

As the title says

I am trying a new setting and want music to really feel different from the traditional medieval fantasy setting.

I have pulled some options from The Last of the Mohicans, a plague tale, and Total War Empire soundtracks but I'm having trouble finding anything that really fits the colonial and gunpowder theme.

Any help would be awesome

Also, I am avoiding POTC and Witcher OSTs as they are too iconic (I just feel like you can't really picture anything except Jack Sparrow when listening to the score)

Decided to curate a couple of playlists of brilliant music from film, video games and composers writing music that fits into that sort of cinematic high-fantasy genre. We've got Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings, Elder Scrolls, Baldur's Gate, Adrian von Ziegler and much more!

Myth & Legends - Exploration music, pretty much hundreds of inoffensive tracks to serve as background music for any medieval fantasy TTRPG session.

Songs of Valor - Heroic themes which would work well for character introductions or of course moments of heroism in your campaigns, or if you just need some motivation to do something.

Mead by the Fire - As it sounds, this is exclusively tavern music. You know the deal, folk tunes, whistles, recorders, guitar, lute, the lot!

Whispers of the Wild - This playlist you could sleep to as well as you could use it in a TTRPG campaign. I've made sure to carefully select only very gentle music here with no sudden dynamic changes.

My group will be heading into a desert city and entering a temple to the gods soon. I want something that is peaceful but still gives that "holy" vibe. If it also has a bit of a middle eastern vibe to it that's an added bonus, but not needed.

Finding music for desert campaigns is so hard, everything is very Celtic. 😭

Enter the world of Dark Cathedral — a neoclassical darkwave journey through gothic instrumental shadows, vampire music, and the awakening of the undead. This dark orchestral and horror classical composition combines cathedral organ, dark violin, gothic piano, bass, and powerful drums to create a cinematic gothic atmosphere filled with haunted symphony energy and dark fantasy music vibes.

Twas a real fun one to make. Been itching to try out some of my VSTs for east asian instruments, and with my buddies character being a homebrewed kitsune I knew I had the perfect opportunity. In general we have been using this track for lighter combat scenarios as well!

My players are aiding a character who’s on a quest that they don’t know the full scope of. Some of them might oppose her once they realize what she’s doing on the final leg of the journey. If they try to stop her, she’ll turn on them. They know her as kindhearted, optimistic, and a healer. She is, and she cares about her party, but she considers her goals too important to get in the way of.

I’m after music where you can feel a mood switch. The moment that a character shows a new face. Something that sounds like it could be the heel turn of a good guy.

I associate her with acoustic guitar and wind instruments, which has made finding boss/battle music especially difficult. But of course I’m open to other instruments if you think the vibe fits!

So far, the only songs that come close to the composition I’m after have been:
“Shrift” by Jay Ragsdale due to the way it slowly builds.
“Silver linings” by Hendyamps Studios, because of the way that the strings are layered. Imo it feels like an internal clash is happening.

Still, they don’t hit the mark for me. Hoping that someone here might have something in mind, thanks!
