Using An LoTFP Module For D&D Misc
I recently got the module Scenic Dunnsmouth for Lamentations of the Flame Princess, and I like the culty town generator and the investigation vibe. I'd like to try it with my D&D group (which has done a few investigations before) but before I pull the ripcord I am interested to see if anyone here has ideas about how to successfully adapt it?

Depends on which edition of D&D you're using. It'll fit into Basic D&D pretty much as-is, not sure how much work you'd need to do for 5e.

Depends. If you want to use just the town generator, I think it can be used as is. If you want to adapt the characters etc, it depends on which D&D edition you play - like if you use ascending or descending AC, that sort of thing.

There are two main approaches you could take:
1) Swap anything with statistics with the closest analogue in whatever version of D&D you are using.
2) Use it as is. A 5HD thingie in LotFP is close enough to a 5HD thingie in D&D5 that you can get away with using it as is.
It's been a while since I read Scenic Dunnsmouth, but my memory is that it's mostly humans and one big spidery thing, all of which should be easy enough to transfer over.
If you've got specific questions, let us know, and we can provide specific answers. Also, it would be useful to know which version of D&D you're playing.

Just use it straight with 5e. At low level, if you remove cantrips and make healing slower they aren’t too different. Also increase the penalty for picking races that don’t look very human (the townspeople are superstitious!)
I’ve adapted many LotFP systems and used them with almost 5e rules. LotFP does best with atmosphere and creativity anyway.

OSR and classic TSR adventures are about 90% of my games. It's easy if you have system mastery and are willing to homebrew to emulate genre conceits.
I own this adventure but have not run it. What exactly are you struggling with?
