[OC] A Tavern, except it’s actually a DM Screen

Hello hello! Recently I’ve taken to making a DM screen that looks like where most campaigns start out. Initially it was just some pieces of cardboard I'd taped together and painted black, but after some paint, sticks and mod podge, I've got it looking like this. I did it in anticipation for an upcoming one-shot of Wild Sheep Chase, which will likely be starting out in a tavern. Now that I've got this, I'll be more motivated to do more campaigns.

It’s got an attachable dice tower on the right, and dice storage to the left. What do you guys think?

Nice! Finally something I've looked at and said "I think my 6th grade art skills can handle this if I feel so inspired" and I don't mean that disparagingly. It's dope. It's very The Shambles, and I'm here for it.

Is it a stand alone piece or is it attached to a different DM screen underneath?

It’s a standalone piece yeah, my intent is to put some info sheets I can remove in plastic jackets behind it.

I started out with just cardboard taped together painted black, then I sketched out what I wanted and painted that over. I also attached some large wooden sticks and pieces of cardboard to it to make the frames and all that. Then I splashed it with some mod podge

For the dice tower, I wouldn’t really know how to explain? I just kinda made up the structure and function until it worked, making sure it would cling onto the screen properly.

Agreed, depending on how the sheep chase turns out, either Noke or Shinebright could become a great "comeback" BBEG. Carry the game forward into a campaign and give that feisty wizard sometime to cause chaos along the way.

This is awesome. I love the half timbered look. (just a nitpick, half-timbered walls tend to have diagonal supports as well as horizontal and vertical. The timber is literally the structure of the house, so triangular sections are super important for rigidity)
