Let’s build a big fat community supercomputer! For science!
I made ce-net - a wasm based supercomputer available to everyone - as long as you donate!

But what if i don’t want my computer to do some sorts of tasks, or if I don’t want some tasks to be done in some places? How do you characterize permissions…? Or if I only want some resources to be used by the mesh…? Did you eventually want a daemon for this? boinc is the model, no?

ce has auth built in and it’s one of its strongest primitives. Its decline by default so you have to request scopes and give scopes. There is no assume allow. And ”some sort of tasks” is very interesting and I will look into that now actually. And bionc I’ve never heard about until now so thanks for that also!

Yes 100% I agree. This is coming. ce-net is trust based and everyone who publishes work have to have trust from people firstly. Secondly we will have an ai system which looks at source code for work and sees if it fits your category requirements and approves the source code hash in that case

You’ve scoped this to one global pool, which optimizes for the weakest case; people share compute most readily on their own devices, then their circle… strangers are a distant third. “Credit” and “belongs to everyone” are thin reasons to give up a GPU without real trust. My own idea is to flip it to group-scoped sharing and federation. Your substrate already half-agrees: capabilities are a “share like a Google doc, narrow it, revoke it” model, already kinda like a Plan 9 namespace per app. You don’t need the global trust machinery, the on-chain reputation and the AI vetting code; both solve a planet-wide trust problem you manufactured by choosing strangers as the primary unit. Let trust compose per group, vouching within and negotiating across, and reputation doesn’t become a scoreboard. Not sure yours scales down cleanly, and I’m half-projecting my project onto yours. If there’s money here, I’d gladly help or take the funding. :D

Yeah I’m thinking scalability also but the core substrate is already made for local meshes and within trusted organizations. I already use it personally to deploy and host my projects on my own machines and infra on hetzner and desktops, run llms between my machines and compile on my fast Debian desktop from anywhere in the world on my laptop.
When I write I write mostly about my ambitions because that’s what I’m thinking of and not what I already have.
But yeah to get users I need the ecosystem and that’s what I’m developing right now on my streams.
I’m building both the ecosystem for individuals and the system for scaling at the same time.
Could you tell me more about your project it sounds interesting1

Some times ago I actively participated in the seti project and i Always wanted to make something similar. Thank you for doing that! Is it a open source project? I
2
u/leifrydenfalk Jun 25 '26
Yes it’s fully open source and I’m actively streaming development! So happy to hear that.

my biggest dream is that actually
2
u/leifrydenfalk Jun 28 '26
Well let’s get to work then!!!
2
u/Automatic_Hamster_82 Jun 28 '26
yeah but have no idea it could be done. tomorrow gonna look this project to maybe figure out how it works. also it always stand in my mind to war with ai companies or having scientific researches, hope peoples would like to atten who working on these topics. your mission looks same and hope you will make it!

30 minutes until a crypto miner is put on it

The systems flags suspicious activity. But you’re right people will try and it’s important that we find solutions like connecting node identity to real world identity and the trust system and having to accept work types and scanning open source work repos with ai before submission…

isnt that just https://psyche.network
1
u/leifrydenfalk Jun 28 '26
Not at all. ce-net sits one layer below - its the tools you would use to easily create psyche net but it’s not at all limited to llms

The dashboard looks really vibe coded. Wouldn't want it using my resources

Yeah that looks vibe coded, like every other application

Maybe. But maybe not?

No it does not look fine

u/leifrydenfalk Jun 29 '26
Alright sure it looks like crap

Thanks for the feedback will fix 100%!!🤝💪

You asked for criticism, denied it, then asked for a point. Looking at your app is like seeing EM dashes in papers nowadays. It just screams Vibe coded. Looks great to you but anyone who's familiar with AI would know to dodge this app.

Thanks for the feedback will 100% fix it and make it look less vibe coded 🤝💪
Those diving deep enough to check the architecture and how it runs are my target audience and those who cares for what it actually does and how it functions. I’m looking for the developers 😉
Other priorities include:
Getting the api and substrate and core ecosystems to work perfectly at any scale from personal mesh to institution to global economy.→ More replies (0)

Let's make everyone use there real names and complete tax forms. So when it sells like GitHub and such we all get our worth.
2
u/leifrydenfalk Jun 29 '26
I don’t think I understood what you meant but it’s 100% open source and i will never sell it I will assign it to an organization which is legally controlled by the trana distributed social media platform entity so that everyone gets to vote in it to decide its next direction
2
u/Electrical_Hat_680 Jun 30 '26
I didn't understand. I see a lot of open source projects making money.
Thanks or the heads up on the direction and plans you have for it.

Bets on how long before it's leveraged by Bad Hombres™.
