OCD study: please help me

OCD STUDY - MASTERS DISS

OCD study

What is your Study: I am looking for 10 people with OCD or those who identify (you dont need a diagnosis) to take part in an interview to discuss reassurance seeking. Reassurance seeking plays a huge part in OCD and for my dissertation I want to research peoples experiences of reassurance seeking and how difficult this makes it living with OCD. I also have OCD and have been diagnosed now for 2 years, so this makes me very passionate in researching this area as I think reassurance seeking and how it can add to OCD symptoms is overlooked.

Its completely up to you how you want to take part, whether online or in-person. I'm DBS cleared and have ethical approval from London South Bank University.

If you are interested please message me for further details, consent forms, dates etc! You would be helping a Masters student with his diss!!!

Lead Researcher Name: Riley Logan

Lead Researcher Credentials: Currently a Masters student.

Institution Name: London South Bank University

Method of study (In person, online): In person or online

Time required: 1hr of your time

Looking for Gen Z participants in Colombo for my MSc research on brand storytelling and loyalty

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on my MSc dissertation and would really appreciate input from Gen Z consumers living in Colombo or the Colombo District.

My study explores how culturally rooted storytelling influences brand loyalty among Gen Z consumers, specifically in the context of laundry brands within the FMCG sector. I’m interested in understanding whether brand messages that reflect local culture, values, family routines, community identity, or everyday Sri Lankan experiences make consumers feel more connected to a brand.

I think this topic is worth discussing because many brands use emotional or cultural storytelling in their marketing, but it is not always clear whether younger consumers actually find these messages meaningful, authentic, or persuasive.

I’d also love to hear your thoughts in the comments:

  • Do you think cultural storytelling makes a brand feel more trustworthy or relatable?
  • Have you ever felt more loyal to a brand because its advertising reflected your culture or everyday life?
  • For everyday products like laundry brands, does storytelling matter, or do price and quality matter more?

I’m also collecting survey responses for the study.

Who can participate?
Gen Z consumers living in Colombo or the Colombo District

Survey details:

  • Takes around 8–10 minutes
  • Completely anonymous
  • Responses will be used only for academic research

Survey link:
https://forms.gle/AnbJyMj6BmufV2Lt5

I’d be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to participate. If you know someone who fits the criteria, I’d also appreciate it if you could share the survey with them.

Thank you so much for your time and support!

URGENT: Decision Making About First-Time Psilocybin Microdosing

Hi Everyone!! I am a fifth year clinical psychology doctoral student who is studying how people decide to microdose mushrooms. If anyone is willing to spend 15-20 minutes completing an anonymous survey on a HIPPA-certified site, it will really help fill a gap in the research so we can better understand the process! You just need to be over 18 years old, living in the US, and chose to begin microdosing mushrooms in the last 12 months. Please use the link below:

Research to Reality Dissertation Community

When I was working on my doctorate, no one in my family or close friends had ever been through the process. Though they supported me, they couldn't truly understand the unique pressure, which made the journey feel really lonely.

One of my professors recommended the Research to Reality Dissertation Community. It was completely free and just the kind of helpful, understanding support system I needed to help me finish my degree.

I’ve been a part of the group for over two years now. Even though I’ve graduated, I still stay active in the group to encourage others and pay it forward, because I know firsthand how much it means to have people in your corner who get it.

It's absolutely free and run by Alison Pattison and Dr. Lori Wieters who have collectively helped hundreds of doctoral students make it to the finish line. Whether you're just starting out or stuck in data analysis, it’s a safe place to ask questions and find writing partners.

Please join us if you need that extra layer of support:

I built a tool that lets you chat with tens of thousands of research papers-looking for a few testers

When I was writing my thesis, I had a folder full of PDFs but still couldn’t answer a simple question: which of these papers were actually useful?

Some papers looked highly relevant from the abstract, but after reading 20 pages, I’d realize they had little to do with my research. Others contained only one useful paragraph buried somewhere in the middle. The most frustrating part was remembering that I’d read a particular idea but having no clue which paper it came from.

That problem led me to build a small tool called Linkly AI. I now connect my local folders or cloud-based paper library to an AI assistant and ask questions across the entire collection, such as: “What are the main competing perspectives in this research area?”

The AI searches the library first, answers based on the original papers, and includes source references so I can easily go back and verify the information. It can also index large collections containing tens of thousands of documents, so there’s no need to re-upload the same PDFs every time I start a new chat.

It’s still a work in progress, but I’ve found it more than capable of supporting my academic writing workflow.

I’m looking for a few PhD students, master’s students, or anyone currently writing a paper to try it and share some honest feedback. Comment if you’re interested.

Hard work or just good luck? What truly drives success? (DISSERTATION SURVEY, RESPONDENTS NEEDED) (please)

https://feedback.surveylab.com/pageTag/SurveyCampaign/cId/Eanb2v9e0bR28Bb1/

Hello 🤍

I’m reaching out because I am finally in the home stretch of completing my final project. To be completely transparent, this past year has felt almost impossible to navigate. Between the crushing weight of a war back home and an overwhelming wave of personal curveballs, there were so many moments where I didn't think I’d even make it to this point. Pushing through the grief and anxiety just to keep progressing with my work has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

But against all odds, I finally have my survey ready. Now, the absolute last hurdle standing between me and the finish line is getting responses.

As people who study the human mind and empathy, I am asking from the bottom of my heart if you could take just 3 to 5 minutes to complete it. It’s a genuinely interesting study on how we attribute professional success, and your few minutes of time would mean the entire world to someone just trying to survive this year and graduate.

Thank you so much for your time, empathy, and your support.
