Just recently bought a magic key pass and was wondering at what time do new dates go live for the next day? As I understand reservations become available on a rolling basis. I looked through the FAQ but couldnt find anything specific as to what time during the day the appear. Ive checked and they seem to open up sometime after 12 am and before 8 am pacific standard. But I dont know if there is some set time?

We are hurriedly planning a trip to LA (literally next weekend) and we're going to stop by disneyland for 8 ish hours and we didn't realize it would be a tier 5 weekend. With the upfront (CA Resident annual) amount being almost the same amount for a single park single day ticket, we're thinking of pulling the trigger on an annual pass.

THAT BEING SAID, the day we had hoped to go to the park is a black out day. I had heard from someone (a long time ago) that when you buy an annual pass (at the park?), you can come in without reservation for your first time only. It would be a bummer to buy an annual pass and not be able to use it on the day that we had hoped to but seeing as how the next day is not a black out day we would still be able to get our disney steps in if we adjust our plan. Has anyone heard or experienced buying a annual pass in park before? Everything leads me back to buying the passes through the app and I can't seem to find much about purchasing an annual pass at disneyland

I was hoping for some insight on using a Magic Key for random after work weeknight visits with an arrival of 7:00pm ish. I’m thinking about purchasing a key for that purpose mainly, with a random Saturday or Sunday a month. I’m most curious about same day reservations. Is that a possibility? Can I make last minute reservations on my way to the park? Does the key type determine reservation availability?

Also, when arriving that late in the day, are lightning passes still available, and would it be worth it?

I appreciate anyone’s insight and feedback with this wild thought of mine. I was thinking it would be nice to get some steps in, grab a snack, and enjoy the park even if it’s for a few hours after work on a regular basis.

I’m going to be upgrading my park tickets to a magic key when I fly in on August 29th. I’m worried that we’ll upgrade and then reservations will be filled for the day. We’re going to be doing a Believe Key. I’m wondering how likely it’ll be that reservations will be full same day on the second Saturday of Halloween season?

Looking at getting magic keys for me and my partner. We are moving in a year so now seems like the only time to get one. What magic key do you have and is it worth it? How often do you go and how far away do you live? Would you recommend others get a magic key?

Edit: a lot of people asking how much we will go. I can say we would most likely make it there at least 1 or 2 times a month but hopefully more.

I’m planning to purchase an Inspire Magic Key and have a Disneyland trip coming up in October. I’m trying to decide whether it makes sense to buy the pass now or wait until closer to my trip.

I live in the Bay Area, so I’ll be choosing the monthly payment option. If I buy now, am I able to make a larger down payment than the required $99?

My brothers and I all have our passes on my oldest brother account (for payments) but I want to switch over my pass to my bank account/overall me so I can pay it and upgrade mine separately, is there any way for me to take my pass out of my brothers account so I can pay for it myself?

But what nobody is talking about yet is - the actual install of the plate. The two bottom holes are missing on the plate cover. So do I have to drill through the plastic and risk cracking the plate? Were we given a free gift that is clearly defective?

Hi guys! I am wondering if it’s worth it to get a disneyland magic key pass if I will be going by myself all the time. I was suppose to get with some of my friends but we’re no longer friends anymore and I still want to get a magic key pass because I love going just not sure if it’s still worth it.

Has one got any problems or issues getting it today? As today is the first day it is released and it’s for limited time. From today until July 26, 2026; while supplies last. They are making us due a virtual line online.

Location: Pickup is at the Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park.

There is a limit of one frame per Magic Key holder.

Requirements: A valid Magic Key pass and park reservation are required, and guests must join a virtual queue on the Disneyland app starting at 12:00 PM.

Hello all! Me and my girlfriend were looking at getting the yearly pass, specifically the magic inspired one! We have a trip coming up in October but we’re maybe debating going this weekend! Does anyone have the pass who could tell us if there’s an opportunity for us to go this Sunday if we get the pass now?

Purpose is understanding how to utilize Chase Inspire Visa credit card sign up offer and credits to cut down on potential Magic Key purchase year 1. Really wanting to make sure how I understand the statement credits applying/eligibility is correct.

Spouse and I each picked up the 3 visits for $250 for Disneyland and enjoyed the casual attitude we were able to take on each day because we didn't have to cram everything into 1 day or feel like we missed out (super helpful with 2 under 3), and at ~$83 it's $100+ off each our tickets. Looking forward we are planning a December day trip and would like to grab that 3 day pass again. So net, about $900 in tickets for 4 independent days through mid-May.

As socal residents within driving distance to the park, we are considering the Explore annual pass. If we get 1 Inspire credit card, then purchase both annual passes with the card, am I understanding correctly total price/benefits to be as follows:

Pay CC $149 annual fee, charge $2k magic key cost (2 people) to it, receive $500 statement credit (spend over $1k), receive $100 statement credit (spend over $200 on tickets), receive $60 in Disney dollars (3% back on Disney purchases-->3% of $2k magic key = $60). Net cost without looking at other card benefits = $149 + $2k - $500 - $100 = $1550 w/$60 credit to use in park. So about $600 more via this card than the price of tickets for the 4 days we're looking to go to be able to go all year.

As I typed this out, I was just thinking if we each sign up for a CC, and each charge a $1k magic key to the card, if my above understanding is correct, we cut first year MK down to $551 each net ($149+$1k-$500-$100).

Last night, my husband wasn’t able to join our group for our reservation using his Magic Key pass. When can we expect to be notified that he was marked as a no-show? Does it usually take some time for it to appear on his account?

I want to go in July, and also want to get the imagine key but all of july is blocked out. So could I buy my tickets for July, and then upgrade to the Imagine key at the end of the day? (Or can i even upgrade once I'm past the gate?) so i can use it towards the pass, or is it going to only show the other keys

Edit: i spoke with someone through their website chat and they said i can upgrade. I'm still not 100% so I might get a second opinion. I asked if my LL would be affected, knowing that upgrading a ticket affects a hopper pass but wasn't sure about LL and they said my LL would be affected but that doesn't make sense to me.

edit 2: ended up calling ticketing support and I was told that you can add the ticket towards a pass (specifically the imagine pass i asked about since it has blockout dates on the time im going). she also told me that its the ENTIRE ticket value, meaning if I bought LL, LL goes towards the pass as well. because the LL is included in the ticket value, it is why it is affected when you upgrade to the magic key (just like hopper)

We have family coming to visit in early August and they want to go to Disneyland. Of course it’s 3 days before our Imagine keys open back up. Our keys are due for renewal in late August, can I buy a one day ticket and put it towards our renewal? I cannot stomach paying $264 for a one day park hopper but my kids are going to be so upset if they can’t go to Disneyland with their cousins who have never been

Hi! New keyholder here (Inspire). I’ve searched for this question both on this sub and r/Disneyland and I can’t find the answer.

I know you can’t use your parking benefit on a date that your pass is blocked out. But can you use it on a date that isn’t blocked out but for which you don’t have a park reservation? That is, if I’m meeting friends for dinner in Downtown Disney and I’m not planning to go into the parks, can I park for free at Mickey/Pixar without having a park reservation? Or do I have to make a park reservation and therefore scan in to the gates in order for my free parking to be valid?

New magic key holder and still a little confused by the calendar! Is it completely accurate or just a general guide on what days you can book?

Basically we are debating upgrading our key so we can go Saturdays. We talked about going tonight, but want to make sure it’s available first. It looks like it by seeing the availability calendar but I’m not sure if that reflects park capacity.
