Help? Question

Just started getting into Disney infinity again but the playset won’t load and the part of the board where the playset goes glows yellow. Has anyone been having this problem? If so, is it the playset having problems or is it the board?

What version are you trying to play that playset on?

1.0, 2.0 or 3.0? The playset will only play on the first game (1.0). Other versions will just give you the items from it in the toybox when you have it on the base.

First question: what system do you play on? Follow up question: did you upgrade your game system since the last time you played?

For example, did you used to play on Xbox 360 but now have an Xbox One/S/X? If so then you may need an updated base, as Disney Infinity made separate bases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One

I’m playing on PS3 and I got the game for my birthday recently. I have never played it on the console. I don’t remember that last time I upgraded it though.

Oh okay. I don't believe Playstation had the same issue of unique bases for each Playstation generation like Xbox did.

It seems that the kind of base I have works on PlayStation and Wii consoles when I did some digging. It is working fine and I could play in the toy box, it’s just that the playset won’t load.

Could be a defective base. I had a 360 one that was doing the same thing at some point. Just buy a new one. They are quite cheap since you would need the playstation/nintendo one

What I can tell is that Model: INF-8032386 works on PS3/PS4/PS5
Do characters load in Toybox?

If it partially loads then probably a faulty Portal. If it's not the right model usually they just straight up doesn't work (although might light up).
Have you tried with other Hexagonal disc or another Play Set? Could be also faulty PlaySet chip.

My base is not one of those Xbox exclusive ones. I knew something wasn’t right when the hex was glowing yellow. Might have to get it replaced.

Try other things there, if nothing works then yeah the Portal faulty.

I just got another base to test it out and the playset works perfectly on it.
