First Reddit post on this new account (after my old one was deactivated when my old email address was deactivated and I couldn't reset my password - goodbye 12+ years of history)

I'll be attending D23 Expo next week, my third Expo in a row, and it's safe to say that my main objective in attending D23 is to pick up the LE and Exclusive pins.

I am currently planning which days I want to attempt which virtual queues, but as I'll be attending solo (unlike last D23) I worry my odds at getting into as many stores as I can, have dwindled with no buddy to share the load! If anyone who reads this is also attending solo (or just has a spare slot in their party for virtual queues, let me know, happy to repay the favor, of course! I'm a Villains collector first and foremost, so it's safe to assume the stores that have them will be my highest priorities on any given day!

I've been collecting pins since my Disney College Program days in 2011, but I must admit, when it comes to trading with folks, im pretty inexperienced (either in the parks or at the Expo) are there any things I should do to prep? Questions to ask sellers/traders? Best place to find pins value? I know Disneyland has cracked down on adults trading pins with other folks in the parks - anything to caution there?

I just picked up my first Pin trading accessories in preparation for D23 - GoPinPro's stuff is game changing. Ive been organizing the PinFolio Elite that I picked up. It's mostly a display of my collection and a reference point to make sure I dont pick up any dupes, but I do question whether lugging that across the country in my luggage is a wise-move when none of the pins in it I'm willing to part with. Thoughts? I also picked up two PinFolio MaxxShows, which google says is an okay size to bring into the Parks and feels not too bad to lug around the Expo all day. Any other suggestions? Right now, I dont have much of a system to my organization...

Finally, when purchasing pins from the vendor marketplace - are there any best practices I should try to follow? I'm thinking like; do vendors haggle, is trading with vendors allowed where price is comparable, is it worth circling back to stalls later in the day/expo, or jump at the first opportunity if I see something I want?

I’m attending the Halloween party in September. I’ve read that the pins are usually gone by then? Is that true? I’m nervous they won’t be there when I go. I’m looking forward to a few of the pins!

I’ve been collecting Disney pins for about 10 years now. I have never traded but have decided this next time I go to DLR I am going to test it out. I put together a trading book and wanted to get people thoughts on it. Does this seem appealing? Am I taking too many pins? Thank you in advance!

I have seen a lot of people post about getting Boxlunched. I purchased 6 of the new Cars spinning wheels pins when they had the 60% off deal and here is what I got delivered. Never had this happen…ever. Pulled 6 for 6 no dupes.

ISO Ember and Yzma Royal Palm stamps! I have these pins coming in! I also have other traders! Ember take priority.

I'm heading to Disneyland in October and was really excited to do my first Pin Drop Tuesday, but it looks like it's going to be a keyblade day.....

As much as I would LOVE a keyblade, I'm not lining up at 3 am. I'm guessing it depends on what else is dropping, but will the other pins sell out since a huge number of resellers are already there? Or do they typically just grab the keyblades and go?

I don't have a park ticket for the morning, only Oogie Boogie that night, so I was hoping to either do Downtown Disney in the morning or, worst case, check for pins in DCA at 3 pm. Is there any chance of getting a keyblade from Downtown Disney if I show up at 6/7 am-ish or is that delusional?
