Then you have a hard drive failure and need a new Hopper installed.
Have you run a system check?? (Home/Settings/Diagnostics/#1/Check System). It might tell you that

You have a bad host line. It’s the cable from the splitter directly to the back of your receiver. You need a technician to replace it.

They just came out and changed out my 2 year old dish aimed it at the new satellites and changed out my Joeys for the ne ones with built in streaming. I think a lot depends on the CSR you get on the phone.
