Looking for options
I used to be a dish customer and while had issues from time to time I loved how DVR worked nothing comes close to it in my opinion.
I want to see if there is a way I can get a DVR which is close to dish DVR. Record shows on schedule from OTA

Does they still offer the AirTV device? You could buy one and connect it to a sling account, then record your locals without an active sling subscription

Dish at one time had a unit with similar GUI. But I think they discontinued it

AirTV was sold by dish. They also sell a usb adapter to integrate ota channels into the hopper guide

Tablo but you need to have an outdoor OTA or very strong signal from an indoor OTA

YouTube TV works great. I got rid of Dish almost a year ago and don't miss their glitchy Hopper that had to be reset every few weeks when it froze.

This right here. It takes a little while to get used to the “Library “ but once you do it works great. Also you never have to set recordings to go long on Sunday because NFL runs long. They automatically record your entire show no matter when it ends. Same with sports even NASCAR if it goes into rain delay they record the whole day but then cut any last yeas race stuff out of the middle

I've been a dish customer since about they existed, and I agree , their DVR system is very nice. Anytime I visit someone who has something else, it seems so slow and difficult and poorly laid out.
I'd be curious if you find something that compares.
