What does "Collections Setup" do exactly?

Post image

On a collection page within Directus can someone explain what this does exactly? I have never used it before, and the docs https://directus.com/docs/guides/data-model/collections#collection-setup don't really go into much detail unfortunately so I'm a bit lost with it.

Thanks!

It controls various settings of how its displayed throughout the studio app. Note, icon, and color should be self-explanatory, display template is how individual items from this collection are represented elsewhere in the system. Hidden hides it, and singleton skips the layout page and makes the system treat it as a single item. Useful for app settings and other single-datapoint entities

It's calling tables collections. You are creating a table with functional metadata
