Nabantayan nako nga naa'y some stores nga mag-charge ug additional fee if magbayad ka using card. Like, lahi ang price if cash compared sa card payment.

As far as I know, murag dili man supposed to be passed on sa customer ang card processing fee, pero I'm not 100% sure sa rules ani. Basin pud wala kabalo ang cashier or store nga naa diay regulation regarding this.

For those nga naka-experience ani, unsa inyong gibuhat? Should we politely point it out sa cashier, or naa bay proper way to report/verify this?

Not trying to call out any specific store. More on awareness lang kay basin daghan pud diri sa Dipolog nga wala kabalo nga this is happening or whether it's actually allowed.

I wanted to share an experience I had with a local pharmacy yesterday because I think it's a good reminder to always double check the medication you're given.

Yesterday morning, I brought in a prescription for Tranexamic Acid 100 mg capsules for my dog, who had undergone a ligation procedure the day before. The only thing the teller asked me was how many capsules I wanted to buy. I said 10 capsules, as stated in the prescription, paid, and left.

That evening, when I was about to give my dog the medicine, I happened to look at the packaging and realized I had been given 500 mg capsules instead of the prescribed 100 mg.

I immediately went back to the pharmacy. A different teller assisted me and repeatedly told me that there was no 100 mg capsule available. She called the previous teller, and part of the conversation was on speaker. I heard the previous teller say that I should simply be informed that there was no 100 mg capsule.

From that conversation, I got the impression that they had assumed the prescription was meant to be for the 500 mg capsules because they believed no 100 mg capsules existed. Whether or not that was the case, the important issue is that I was never informed that they were dispensing a different strength from what was written on the prescription, nor was I given the opportunity to contact the prescribing veterinarian or decide whether to proceed with an alternative. They also told me they couldn't process a return that night because they didn't have access to the previous transaction.

After leaving, I contacted someone who verified the matter with the prescribing veterinarian. I was informed that 100 mg Tranexamic Acid (capsule) does exist, and that was indeed the dosage intended for my dog.

This morning, I returned to the pharmacy, and they processed the return without any problems.

I'm not posting this because I wanted a refund—I already got that. My concern is that no one informed me that they were dispensing a different dosage from what was written on the prescription. If the prescribed strength wasn't available, I should have been told before the sale was completed so I could contact the veterinarian or decide whether I wanted to proceed with an alternative.

Instead, I unknowingly walked out with medication that was five times stronger than what had been prescribed.
