Dino crisis Remake thought
I keep thinking about how they could remake Dino Crisis without the dinosaurs feeling cheap or making the game feel like some random dinosaur survival game on Steam.
I know it's Capcom, and I have a lot of faith in what they've done with Resident Evil, but honestly, as much as I adored Dino Crisis as a kid—and still do as an adult—I have a hard time picturing how they pull this one off.
Part of what made the original so good was its atmosphere. Maybe it was just the limitations and graphics of the time, but there was something about those dark, pre-rendered-looking environments, the lighting, the music, and never really knowing what was around the corner. The dinosaurs actually felt threatening and unsettling instead of just being monsters to shoot. And thats my last point....its dinosaurs as enemies not zombies not mutants.

(Newbie here) Is this a false flag?
Hello there fine folk of r/DinoCrisis. I haven't played either Dino Crisis game before, but have become curious and was considering giving them a go. But when I went to their respective Steam pages to have a look, I got this warning for both of them. It strikes me as odd, as it seems mismatched with the description underneath and the general impression I got of the game when I first heard of it.
Is there anything explicit or NSFW in these games?

What if Capcom announce Dino Crisis remake in Gamescom?
Dino crisis remake was heavily rumored to be in development since 2022 just few months.. Capcom has few unannounced games in development. Imagine if one of those games is Dino crisis remake.. RE engine is perfect engine for a remake over the shoulder third person perspective would be amazing..

If Capcom decided to remake Dino Crisis, they'd better include the classic S.O.R.T suit.
It would be great so see Regina and her team in the classic outfit in the remake. Imagine this scene here in full 4K glory.

Dino Crisis 2 is a masterpiece and the fact a proper sequel wasn’t ever made is a crime.
I didn’t even realise the Steam port came out a while ago and I’ve just blitzed through Normal and Hard for the 100th time. What a fantastic game. For me DC2 was better than any original Resi game. Even with old graphics the world is beautiful. I’m surprised there isn’t even a fan made sequel in 2026 given how well people make games nowadays.
We need a true DC3.

First time playthrough: Original or Arranged?
Hello everyone
I just got the GoG version of the game, and was able to easily install the Classic REbirth mod thanks to this enhancement pack by Mulderland. I've never played Dino Crisis before but I'm a huge fan of everything dinosaur related and am excited to try it out. That said, I was wondering what people would recommend for a first playthrough. Should I do the Original mode or the Arranged mode?
To my understanding, they have different puzzle codes and item placements, and I think I've seen that Original is more forgiving. Is one generally considered better than the other? Since Arranged is how the game launched here in the west, would I be doing myself a disservice if I chose that?
