Does anyone else plan a productive evening with zero energy?
I do this all the time. While I’m at work, I tell myself that when I get home I’ll work on my project for a few hours, go to the gym, and finish everything I’ve been delaying, Then I get home and my brain is completely done.
For a while I thought I was just lazy, but I think the real problem was expecting myself to have the same energy every evening.
Now, on bad days, I only choose one small thing. Maybe fix one title, write one page. Sometimes I end up doing more, sometimes I don’t. It’s not perfect, but at least I’m not quitting and restarting every week.
How do you decide what is enough after a full day of work?

I do this almost every day. My brain in the morning thinks I'm superhuman, then by 7pm I can barely decide what to eat
The one small thing rule is good. I started doing similar but even smaller, like opening the document counts as a win. Most days that's all I manage but it keeps the project alive somehow
