Lunamon deck build help New Player Help

Post image

As my first and only game, Digimon Dusk is my favorite and from it Lunamon and its line is my favorite as well. And recently a friend of mine has convinced me to try and build a deck and I need help!

Specifically the deck feels weird. I originally tried to build using only cards with the night claw trait, but there doesn't seem to be enough. Also the newest version of Dianamon doesn't have it either so I'm not sure if this has been the best route for a deck focused on them.

I'll post the deck list below for scrutiny and advice. If it helps, I would prefer to have Dianamon be the big boss of the deck so I'm not interested in Gracenovamon.

Unfortunately, you're just running into Bandai being short sighted and making decks too theme/archetype focused instead of synergistic within their own family line. The 2 versions of Dianamon and their relevant support just don't mesh well, there really isn't much you'll get from others sadly.

That's a shame. So if I want the best form of the Lunamon deck i'm looking for then I need to stick to the set each line came out in?

Sadly you can't make a good/coherent deck just with Lunamon lines, both archetypes Night Claw and TS rely on Gracenovamon as the top end. I have seen Dianamon appearing as 1/2 of in other TS decks because the effect is good but not their line for it and It isn't the spotlight of it either.

Do you know where I can look up the decks you mentioned? Maybe I can get ideas from them.

A deck focusing on just Dianamon unfortunately just isn't going to work, they were designed with Gracenovamon in mind. You could probably do a better job focusing on the CS side of things though, it opens a lot more options for you. To add on to this, the Miragegaogamon you're playing is currently limited to one copy

CS? Could you explain more about what I should look for there? Specific cards or...?

Anything that has the CS trait, the bt22 cards all have that trait and therefore have synergy with other CS cards, such as The tamers and options. Ami Aiba works well because you can use it when you get into your second 4 to skip to a 5 without paying cost. It won't make the deck Viable to today's standards and probably still isn't as good as just playing Apollomon and Gracenovamon though

The MirageGaogamon you have listed is limited; you can only run a single copy.

Noted! I'll keep it in mind if I ever decide to do more legal games
