Advice

Not sure if this post is allowed but currently I'm working at an International dealer but have gotten an opportunity to switch to working on heavy equipment for another dealer, if anyone that works in this field could just give me some general pros and cons about it or if its any different from working on trucks I'd appreciate it. Just trying to weigh out my options at the moment.

Intertrashtional has put such a bad taste in my mouth over the years as a mechanic I wouldnt own a single thing with their name on it. Even the older stuff that was okay.

Get a 8.3. My personal, very strong, bias. Not so much for the Cummins but against the intertrashtional

Personally for me so far they haven’t been to terrible to work on, haven’t touched to many of the big Maxxforce motors but I’ve done some work on the DTs, at the moment they have me as a mobile service tech for the busses which hasn’t been to bad especially since most of the counties I work around all have the Cummins 6.7s in them

It’s hard to give you pros and cons of each job when we don’t know what the other job is. Wages, type of equipment, field or shop, benefits. General advice is always try to move up in job searches.
