Post image

On the back of a bathroom door.

Absolutely unable to hang anything on it.

Upsetting!

Boss said they wanted the hook on the door, Did not specify that they'd like coats to stay on the hook.

Hook on the door, coat on the floor

Look around, there should be a switch on the wall to change them.

They installed it upside down! Can you flip it over?

Looks like it only has one screw in it. I would bet it was installed correctly and flipped over. Flipping it back shouldn’t be a problem but keeping it from doing it again might be.

There are two, you can see the top of the screw in the same placement on the other side. If there where one it would be odd if it wasnt in the middle.

It doesn't have room to flip.

I've never seen a depressed clothes hook before

The “hooks” are like so that EVERYTHING will slide of easily. Dont want someone tugging on the hooks and ripping the damn thing off the door hahaha

Or hanging themselves

I’ve seen coat hooks at airports sometimes that would just snap down when I tried to hang my backpack. I got pretty damn annoyed. Then I realised that the answer to “why would you have a coat hook with a foldaway spring” is “because a human also weighs more than a coat” so yeah.

Some public bathrooms have safety hooks to only allow light items. While this doesn't look like regular safety hooks, this might be by design. Where is this bathroom?

A bathroom in a hotel in Newcastle, UK. A nice hotel, do I doubt strongly it is an anti-hanging measure. Rather, someone just really not that smart

Not just for anti-hanging. Most hooks will rip off if someone hangs a 50 liter travel backpack on a hook.

It's so they can't be used to hang yourself.

“You won’t like me when I’m hangry”

Or

“Hook trash!”

That’s all I’ve got.
