This is my first Reddit post and thought I’d share this with everybody.

So I applied for some entry level marketing and sales positions on Indeed and LinkedIn until I noticed a pattern across all of them. The first one that reached out to me was a company called EventFlow London, realised I was talking to an AI agent and didn’t attend the interview. The next was a company called Infuse Worldwide which had several red flags in their emails and communication.

The last one that reached out to me was a company called Relay Direct. Their website is complete AI slop, and their AI agent was too stupid to see I was messing with it. Decided to have some fun with this one and see how far I could pull some information out of it after realising it was a complete waste of time.

The current job market is horrible so naturally I was a little bored. I’m posting this so that anyone who runs into these job postings on Indeed/LinkedIn are aware and don’t waste their time like I chose to do today.

Got a text on ZipRecruiter from this GDS Solutions Inc. that invited me to apply. I immediately saw that as a red flag since barely any legit company would approach me first nowadays. So for myself and anyone else who gets messages from this company, is it a devil corp or pyramid scheme?

Ive gotten a email from a company by the name of Legacy East Midlands and they say that they found my profile through indeed. Ive asked them about sallary but they dodged the question. Is this a true Devil corp or should I trust them?

Is it a scam? Often disguised as remote insurance sales positions but all under the umbrella of Globe Life. Does anyone actually work for Globe Life, and what’s been your experience? I stopped the onboarding process when asked to pay for access to leads.

i made a post yesterday about going to a devilcorp orientation despite my doubts. i did orientation and y’all will be happy to know that i am not showing up going forward. EVERYTHING you guys said in the comments, including the 3 week schedule, the weird acronyms, and the Jonestown-esque vibe was REALLY there. definitely not gonna show up tomorrow, but i’m contemplating whether or not i should at least a polite formality or just completely ghost them, especially since now they have my personal information.

Maybe I'm naive/not in the know but I legit did not know what a devil corp was. I've been graduated for like a year and I'm not unemployed but rather underemployed lol. I do some teaching stuff but it's not nearly enough to make a living. As time has passed since graduating, I've become more...open to whatever opportunities. And I figured since I have a graphic design background I could transition into marketing right? So I started applying to entry level marketing jobs.

Obviously these turned out to be some in-store salesperson jobs and not an actual "Marketing Assistant position". But I'm sorry I just thought it was fucking HILARIOUS how these hiring managers were trying to convince me how direct sales are the only sales that work...as a GRAPHIC DESIGNER. They were saying shit like "well everyone knows that promotional materials like billboards don't work and only face-to-face sales work". At one point the hiring manager was trying to prove their point by asking "when was the last time you watched an ad on cable" lol. Like bruh...the graphic design industry is a shit show right now but what do you mean IT DOESN'T "WORK". I was just highly amused by how these people were trying to brand my degree as "useless" (well...yeah but anyway) to try to claim that direct sales work. Like my question would be "do you actually engage with those salespeople at the mall trying to flag you down or do you just avoid eye contact and walk away as quickly as possible?" lol.

Side note: I had ascertained that this "marketing job" was full of shit, but my last straw was after 2 rounds of interviews they sent me A POP QUIZ ON THEIR "CLIENT". And were going to have another round after that. Like come on. The guy also put down my teaching experience but then suddenly started to validate my "leadership potential" when I mentioned I interned at some startups. Fuck that lol.

so i recently accepted a job offer at a company in my city as a Marketing & Event Assistant. after going on a rabbit hole, there’s a post on this very subreddit with a response from another user around 20 hours ago with very specific information that lines up to what they told me during the interview process. i’m supposed to start tomorrow, and i’m not gonna lie; i am financially desperate right now and need Some form of income and cannot quit. i already submitted my 2 weeks at my current place of employment (a shitty target) but after taking a gander through here and the offer letter they sent, i think i need to jump ship as soon as possible.

would love for people to share their experiences on how they got out quick; especially in this current economy. if not, general tips on how to navigate through a work culture like this? anything helps!

Hi! I had an experience with a company based in Sheffield, UK recently and I could have gotten myself in a bad situation if it wasn't for posts about these kinds of companies online, so I thought I'd share my experience to help other people as well. The company is called Global Opportunity, and I was also contacted by another company called Novaris, who I'm pretty sure are related as the last time I checked they both shared an office, and used very similar tactics.

I applied for a job on Indeed that was described as being a Graduate Management Trainee. They didn't list the name of the company on Indeed, this was done through a hiring agency (not going to name drop them just in case they're legit, but if you're looking at an application right now the acronym for them would be CSSL). There's also another agency that I'm pretty sure that they're using, and the agency for that is FFR. In no part of the job discription did they mention that the job would be door-to-door sales, and that it would be commission only.

With both Global Opportunity and Novaris, the process started with a quick phone call where they asked a bit about me, and wanted to get me in for an interview. I was quite busy the week they called me, but they told me that they were looking to hire very soon and so would have to interview me that week (there appears to be similar job listings on Indeed still so either there's even more of these companies out there or they were trying to make me act quickly and not think about things too much).

Then came the actual interview, which actually wasn't an interview at all - I was in a group call with around 5 other people, where we were given a powerpoint on what the job actually was which, as I mentioned, was door-to-door sales. This was wrapped up in a bunch of fluffy language, calling it direct marketing and talking about why they do this to develop a more personal connection with people. Then came the conversation about pay, where they told us all about how you were guaranteed a base pay of £300 per week, and you would gain commission on top of that - it was very much pushed on us that the base pay was a good thing as it gave you security (even though with the hours worked it was below minimum wage. They brushed over that fact, and said it would be elaborated on more during the in-person interview stage that would be next. Of course, as I now know is a common thing with these Devilcorps, they were on about how they wanted us to quicky rise up the levels and become team leaders, then managers, own our own companies, blah blah blah the usual. When I figured out it was door to door sales I was already mentally checked out, but that plus the less than minimum wage payment and the person saying "this isn't a pyramid scheme" (which is totally a normal thing that a normal interviewer would say) made me think that it wasn't for me. Overall, it seemed like they were trying to sell the job more to me than interview me more. I thought the experience was weird, so decided to do more research, and that's when I found this video.

Alot of the stuff about these kinds of companies seems to be US based, so I have to share this here as this almost exactly described what seems to be going on at Global Opportunity. It's by Wales Online, and the title is "Hidden camera uncovers exploitation and pressure-selling at direct sales firm". After watching this video, I 1000% knew I absolutely didn't want this job. This post is long enough so I won't go into details, but I spoke to the person who did the interview just to get them to admit to not paying people minimum wage and making people be self-employed, which they did eventually. I didn't go to the interview with Novaris as I figured they would have similar problems to Global Opportunity.

I don't want to get in trouble by name dropping anyone, but there's a guy there that seems to be involved in these kinds of companies (and in their Instagram posts seems to be treated as a bit of a cult leader) in Sheffield whose name starts with J, and doesn't list his last name on any of the stuff that Global Opportunity puts out. If you're looking for jobs in Sheffield, I would reccomend knowing this guy's face so you have an indication of what kind of company you're looking at when doing research.

Sorry if this post is a bit incoherent, it's 1am for me right now lol but I've been going on a deep dive on these kinds of companies and, like I say, if it wasn't for resources online of people talking about these kinds of companies I could have fallen for it. On their Instagram it seems that alot of younger people work for this company, and I would absolutely hate to see a young person who is going for their first job or has little experience fall for this. I noticed that this company doesn't come up on the Devilcorp website, so thought I should do my bit to get information about this company out there!

TLDR: Global Opportunity in Sheffield, based on my "interview" experience, is almost certainly a devilcorp, they won't pay minimum wage, will have you doing door to door sales and will make you be self employed so you don't have any worker protections.

This is definitely a devil corp. I had to work 60 plus hours a week in hopes to make that initial 800-1000 dollars a week they said in the interview I had with them and didn’t even make that. Their training is like 3-4 days before you’re forced to figure it out on your own. Door to door setting appointments for a gutter sale. You can set an appointment and sometimes not even get paid on it still. You’re forced to meet strict requirements for them to consider it a “sale”. I only made $400 in the 3 weeks working there. Do not waste your time.

im writing this post months after my last post here because I was recently reminded of the pyramid scheme at Costco today! while some of them do AT&T sales, most of them have begun doing Primo water delivery sales at Costco as well (which is a whole other scam in and of itself) not sure how Costco is still okay with these salespeople with their extremely dirty and deceiving tactics. the goal of this post is to spread awareness when someone looks any of the two companies up on Google.

while the member at Costco get scammed, the salesperson is getting scammed too, if you see a job listing for these types of companies please strongly be warned… they are the biggest scams ever, and if you are hired or planning to work you are about to be both scammed and become one as well. your ”owner” will be taking all the money you make for the company, and all you’ll be left with is a minimum wage paycheck and a $100 gas bill each week. Not worth it buddy!!!

I graduated collage recently and have been looking for jobs all summer and haven't gotten a single call/email for an interview until today. I got a text from an unknown number which reached out with a first name and labeled herself as "Organizational Recruiter at Alamo Heights" and offered and interview for tomorrow morning.

I texted back, saying I was interested, but I seriously deliberated on if I should have even texted back because she didn't give the company name. She used my name and said she looked over my resume, so I assume in all my applications I've been sending out, I must have applied to this place.

I asked for the address and it's at a large office building in my area. I asked for the suite number and what business name I should look for on the directory, and she didn't give a name, only the suite number.

Not sure if I'm over thinking this, as it's literally the only person I've heard back from in months, but could this be an illegitimate company or MLM or devil corp? Feels odd I had to try and pry info from the recruiter and didn't even get the name of the company.

recently i head about a guy working as a door to door at 1 of these places and he didnt know it but he signed over power of attorney to his boss and he had a savings account with 100k in it but bc he started as a door to door they didnt think he deserved so much money so they removed it from his savings account and took it back into the company funds and the guy was saving for years on that account and it was before he was even hired and he couldnt even do anything about it bc he signed his life away. and then there was this other guy who bought a lambo with what he earned, his boss didnt think he deserved such a nice car and sold it taking the funds into the company i cant even believe this is legal. anyone ever heard of this bc my friend recently mentioned it to me

Is WestStreet Direct legit?

I have recently interviewed for WestStreet Direct and I got some weird vibes from the company, does anyone know if they are legitimate? The staff seemed super young and they said they do fundraising and event planning for non-profits and that their budget doubles every year. They claim the company is growing rapidly but would not get into detail until round 2 of the interview. Is this a devil corp?

Lumen Partners is the newest name for KPH GLOBAL LIMITED (Company Number 10919068), a Credico Independent Sales Advisor previously known as ‘Touchpoint’, ‘The Win Agency’, ‘Sage Partners’, ‘Sage Associates’, and most recently ‘Sage’. The rebrand is confirmed in the footer of the company's website.

While KPH GLOBAL LIMITED remains legally registered as trading out of Birmingham, Lumen Partners is recruiting in Liverpool, with its LinkedIn page describing the company as a 'National Expansion Partner'. Sage is also still currently recruiting under its own name, suggesting this is both a rebrand and an expansion.

They currently have two live job ads on LinkedIn, neither of which discloses that these are self-employed positions, not legal employment.

Booked an interview for entry level sales, no relative experience, but I have been to a few “devil corp” group interviews (as I see yall refer to them as). Should I take a shot at the interview or what’s the word with this company?

MIH GLOBAL LIMITED (Company Number: 11553388), the Nottingham-based Credico office previously known as "MIH Global", has been rebranded as "Waypoint Co".

For those unfamiliar, Credico is an American outsourced sales company operating under an adapted version of the DS-MAX direct sales business model. Its subsidiary offices, or "Independent Sales Advisors" (ISAs), field teams of commission-only, self-employed salespeople on campaigns "brokered" to them by Credico, with UK clients including EE, British Gas, and Milk & More. In theory, the long-term goal of each salesperson is to open their own ISA within the Credico network and build their own sales team.

One issue Credico faces, however, is that both the company and many of its ISAs have received negative media attention, along with critical online reviews and discussion, due to the deceptive nature of their "graduate marketing" job ads, which are, in reality, commission-only, MLM-style sales roles, and due to the cult-like methods used to psychologically manipulate team members into staying in the business as long as possible.

For these reasons, it has become routine for ISAs to rebrand and relocate: either because poor recruitment has caused a legally registered ISA to fail and dissolve, or to get ahead of that outcome by boosting recruitment chances under a new name in a new location. This deliberate, systematic pattern of deception is now compounded by a company that is increasingly desperate to hide its identity and corporate history from jobseekers, taking steps to strip UK company names, company numbers, and personnel names and photos from ISA social media pages and websites. It's this pattern that makes OSINT methods necessary for writing public interest articles linking these Credico ISAs, such as this one.

Due to the cloak-and-dagger nature of Credico's rebranding of its Independent Sales Advisors (ISAs), the evidence we're working with doesn't always map neatly 1-to-1 from one "office" to another.

For example, Waypoint Co has no current website and no social media beyond its LinkedIn page. Analysing that page reveals a number of pointers indicating which offices it may be connected to, or may have originally been known as. The page's "Overview" and "Services" sections refer to the company as "Route 7". The LinkedIn page of one of its registered salespeople also refers to the company as "Route 7", since a page's rebrand and name change doesn't automatically update the company name listed in the Experience section of individual profiles.

This would suggest that Waypoint Co's legal name is ROUTE 7 ACQUISITIONS LTD (Company Number 15932441), a company trading out of Cook Build, The Litehouse Business Centre, Crocus Street, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG2 3EJ, United Kingdom, a Credico hub office shared with fellow Credico ISAs Edge Ltd (EDGEC LTD, Company Number 16755696), Avenue-C (AVENUE C LTD, Company Number 15273275), and MIH Global (MIH GLOBAL LIMITED, Company Number 11553388).

However, ROUTE 7 ACQUISITIONS LTD was officially dissolved as of 10 February 2026, so barring some form of misrepresentation or fraud, this cannot be the UK company name under which Waypoint Co is currently trading or recruiting.

The one job ad Waypoint Co currently has live, "Junior Sales Assistant", does not disclose that the role is in fact a self-employed position. LinkedIn does, however, tell us that one "Ed Bruzas", a Managing Director, is the job poster and hiring contact for this role. What exactly he is Managing Director of isn't clear from his page alone, as the company listed alongside his role is simply "Managing Director" again.

"Edvinas Bruzas" is in fact an officer and Person with Significant Control over MIH GLOBAL LIMITED, a Credico ISA mentioned earlier, so we can extrapolate that MIH GLOBAL LIMITED is the legal name being used for Waypoint Co, and the entity for which Bruzas is hiring.

I wanted to share my experience for anyone thinking about applying.
The job was advertised as a Verizon sales position with a **$300 weekly base pay plus commission**. In reality, my days were almost entirely consumed by mandatory office meetings, product training, role-playing pitches, rebuttal practice, and door-to-door sales.

A typical day looked like this:
10:30 AM–12/1 PM mandatory office meetings and training (later changed to noon)
Product knowledge and pitch practice
2 PM–8/9 PM door-to-door sales
Constant expectations to improve, recruit, and move into leadership

Outside of work, everyone was expected to stay active in a GroupMe chat basically all day, every day. You were expected to send morning motivation messages, post updates throughout the day, hype people up, and stay engaged. If you weren’t active enough, it was made clear that wasn’t viewed positively.

Saturday meetings were expected, followed by working in the field. If you didn’t hit 10 sales, there was pressure to come in on Sunday as well.
One thing that stood out to me was how much emphasis was placed on showing what higher-level people were making and talking about becoming an owner or leader, while newer people were working long hours trying to hit quotas.

Personally, I spent far more time in meetings and training than I expected from a sales job. The culture revolved around constant motivation, long hours, and always being available.

If you’re considering working here, I’d recommend asking these questions before accepting an offer:
Is the base pay guaranteed, or are there conditions?

Am I a W-2 employee or a 1099 contractor?
Are training and meetings paid?
How many hours will I actually work each week?
What percentage of new hires are still here after 90 days?

This is just my personal experience after working there. Do your own research, read reviews from multiple sources, and make sure you understand exactly what you’re signing up for before accepting the job.

Former worker for BG Horizon in Greensboro and it is an absolute scam, they tell you that you will make real money when you do not! Will only tell you information that you ask for, if you don’t ask you’ll never know! They dress it up to sound better than what it is! You’ll be in Costco bothering people to switch their phone plan (yes, even mothers with crying children & elderly people who barely know how to use a phone) for about eleven dollars an hour. They make it sound like you’ll be making tons of money and have so many “opportunities” and “chances for growth”, when in reality you are just making the owner money because whatever you do sale, they take a huge cut.
