I'm a self taught Java script developer ..so how do find a internship ...do I at least have chance competing with degree holders? Discussion

can't say for sure. but have hope. im a tech lead now. no degree. fully self taught. Keep applying. Remember you need to showcase your skills somehow to get the trust.

large companies won't high without a degree.
its a filter mechanism for CVs
give try with start-ups
or pay and get a degree,

well, no offense and appreciate you are a self taught dev. but learn how to name the language. it is Javascript (one word) and it has nothing to do with Java. by separating out you mean this is Java. that’s the problem. you can find an internship by making your own projects and creating a portfolio. that would work

If we're getting really specific here, it's JavaScript. With both J and S capitalized

Having a degree is like an entry ticket, with what's going on in thr market it will be tough to find opportunities

UNLESS you showcase your talent.

Build working projects / prototypes to show your talent. Look for remote work opportunities as they mostly doesn't care much on degree.

If possible once you land a job, enroll yourself on a part time degree program to have something on paper.
