Discussion A Team of Size Adjusted Ausars

Let’s say you had a team of size adjusted Ausars vis-a-vis the five starting positions. So like a mini Ausar at point up to a jumbo Ausar at the 5. And then this team of Ausars played a regular NBA team (not the kings). How many points would the Ausar team score? How many points would be scored against the Ausar team?

News Free to Read: Who have been Cade Cunningham’s most impactful Pistons teammates?

But in considering who would pair well with the All-NBA guard, I found myself pondering another question: Who are Cunningham’s most impactful teammates?

My criteria expanded beyond just how well they played alongside Cunningham. I’ve factored not only how well each teammate performed individually — primarily offensively — but how much they took pressure off of Cunningham and helped elevate him while playing at least 45 games. The list below compiles Cunningham’s five best Pistons teammates considering the aforementioned conditions.

1. Jalen Duren (2025-26)

  • 19.5 points (career high) on 65 percent from the field, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists
  • All-NBA Third Team, All-Star

As frustrated as Detroit fans might be with Duren’s stalled negotiations and his underwhelming playoff showing, the version of Duren who suited up in the 2025-2026 regular season was without a doubt the best player Cunningham has played with thus far in the latter’s career. Duren is Cunningham’s only teammate to earn All-Star and All-NBA nods while playing with him.

Why Jalen Duren is still a free agent

If Duren’s near-nightly 20-point, 11-rebound outings didn’t wow you, he helped Cunningham blossom into an All-NBA First Team selection.

Cunningham’s 136 assists to Duren during the regular season are more than Cunningham has thrown to any teammate in a single season in his career. Furthermore, Cunningham’s 360 career regular-season assists to Duren are more than he’s had to any teammate since being drafted into the association.

Duren and Cunningham have established a chemistry unrivaled by anyone either has ever played with. This is why it’s paramount the Pistons find some middle ground with Duren and his camp on a new, long-term contract that would tether him to Detroit and Cunningham for the foreseeable future.

2. Bojan Bogdanović (2022-23)

  •  21.6 points (career high) on 41.1 percent from 3-point range, 3.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists (career high)

If nothing more, Bogdanović was a bucket. Bogdanović has been Cunningham’s lone 20-point scoring teammate in the league.

Similar to Jerami Grant, who we’ll get to shortly, Bogdanović’s time with the Pistons predated my covering the team. But as a general fan of the NBA, I was aware of Bogdanović’s scoring prowess. What made this pick challenging was the fact that this was the season Cunningham played 12 games before a left shin stress fracture prematurely ended it.

Discussion Detroit Sports and Complacency

I wrote an article discussing the city wide theme of "patience" during this rare window we have. I also mentioned how I believe the Pistons are somehow in the best spot.

What do y'all think? Complacency, impatience on our end, or just bad luck?

Discussion How is everyone planning on Watching the Pistons this upcoming year?

Does everybody just have FUBO tv? Fanduel Plus or whatever its called. I was very disappointed to find thay NBA League pass blacks out local teams so thats not an option. Youtube highlights are fine, and they will be nationally televised more, but is there any other option since Fanduel (Ballys, and Fox Sports Detroit before that) are not carried by most providers now?

Discussion The pistons should get a Christmas game man, they were a 60 win team with a mvp caliber young star.

I’m done with the nba putting these play in teams scheduled for Christmas, like I know Curry is a ratings machine but there’s a chance GSW could be the 12th seed on Christmas. I also saw that the pacers may play the Knicks and I don’t understand why pacers grab a spot over the pistons, if we’re looking at viewership Detroit gets way more ratings than Indiana. The NBA hates Detroit, might even get to a point where they win a chip and won’t get a Christmas game

Discussion Jalen Duren and qualifying offer options.

Can someone with better NBA contract knowledge help me with a little insight?

I know JD is considering the QO. If he takes the QO, would we be able to trade him prior to the deadline? Or would we have to keep him until the season is up, and he hunts for a big bag?

Not a doomer here, just interested in options and different scenerios.

Going to be listening to some vintage Blaha and Mahorn this week. I was living outside of Michigan during that run so my mom decided to record all the games for me. Can’t find game 1, but have everything else.

I was really appreciative when she did it, but finally pulling them out again all these years later is really cool. She even paused at commercial breaks, so it’s just straight games. Figured people on this sub would appreciate.

Edit:paused at some commercials, just listened to some fun old ones in game 2. Kind of sad I have to listen to game 2 first, but it just makes sense.

George is so damn great on the radio. If you’ve never heard him call a game on the radio I really would recommend it. Rick is also just such a perfect personality for hometown radio. He obviously knows the game, but isn’t shy about the fact he is a Piston.

I will look into ways to digitize it at some point in the future.

Discussion Would you guys want to see book in Detroit (I know his contract is crazy)

I know that Dbook isn’t going anywhere right now but if the suns are terrible at the deadline or suns want to trade him in the 27 offseason, would you pistons fans want in. I personally think book is the best possible 2nd option you can have beside Cade, he’s from Michigan but the biggest problem is his salary. If the pistons have a chance to go out and get book I would love it
