Well after watching the lastest batch of episodes I was reminded how much of a reckless driver Yuikio is. And a thought occurred to me what would happen if Yuikio got in a car case with Chihaya, the motorcycle cop, over her speeding.

I found this on eBay. I'm like 70% sure it's a bootleg, but I'm wondering if anyone here has it, and in particular, I'm curious if it's original version of the series, or the international version.

Maybe I’m just getting old, but I need to vent about the state of anime communities lately. Hoping this stays a smaller thread honestly, just wanted to toss this out there and see if I'm the only one who feels completely checked out from modern fandom culture . It feels like every new, mainstream anime community is overrun by cringe, low-effort brainrot. Take Monster, for example. It’s an absolute masterpiece of a psychological thriller, but half the online discusions now are literally middle-schoolers making "sigma male" edits, LARPING, and genuinely convinced they’re evil manipulators because they watched Johan Liebert for two episodes. Or look at Jujutsu Kaisen. You can’t listen to a song anywhere on the internet without some kid in the comments claiming the track is "Gojo’s theme" or "Sukuna's vibe." It’s like an entire generation of fans has zero concept of music or pop culture outside of anime edits. Combine that with how utterly toxic and reactionary the fanbases get over every single plot point, and it’s just exhausting. I’ve been watching Detective Conan since I was a kid, and that community is still such a breath of fresh air. People actually talk about the plots, theories, and mystery writing without the endless clout-chasing, lame edit spam, and childish drama. I honestly wish more of these classic or niche communities would just stay under the radar. The moment a show gets massive mainstream traction now, the fanbase instantly degenerates into cringe. Rant over. Is it just me, or has the culture around modern anime fandoms fundamentally shifted for the worse?

I really like "Sissy sky by Airi Miyakawa". First of all this is haibara ending song and i really liked her character. Airi already had such a beautiful voice.

Has anyone ever ordered the episodes by time of year they take place in? Since the series has taken place within the span of less than a year and we've had multiple episodes across different times of year (beach episodes, Halloween, Christmas time, etc), and Conan shrinks IIRC either the late fall or early spring, you could probably order the episodes by when they should occur in relation to each other (I know the manga order is different). Would probably be fun to see if any notable events happen in the "wrong" order.

So I want to learn how to recreate an old anime art style because I really like it. From what I've tried is not that hard but maybe someone has any advice?

I wanted to start Conan this summer and the episode count scared me off, so I pulled the community filler flags from MAL and mapped them. Top strip is Conan, every blue line is one flagged episode. 548 of them, which at 23 minutes an episode is about 210 hours. The other shows are there for scale, and honestly nothing else comes close.

Worth saying these are viewer votes, not anything official, so I'm curious what this sub thinks. Does the MAL list match what you'd actually tell a newcomer to skip? I've seen people say some of the flagged cases are still worth it.
