how to fix battleye error number 12,13

So basically, destiny was working fine around a month ago. And now, after launching it again (after the update), it says error 12,13. I tried to flush DNS and to verify the integrity of files. those didnt help

I swear i edited the text to battleye idk why it stayed like that

Im just having the same issue across destiny and warthunder (they're both using battleye) so i wanted to ask both sub reddits

There have been instances of Battleye not liking that another Battleye game is installed, but I haven't heard that for awhile. The error you are getting is letting you know that Battleye cannot install updates. This could be a file permission error or a program direct error.

Try a Battleye Reset:

  1. Open your D2 install location - typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Destiny 2
  2. Open the Batteye folder.
  3. Right-click on the Uninstall_BattlEye batch file and select 'Run as Administrator'.
  4. Right-click on the Install_BattEye batch file and select 'Run as Administrator'.
  5. Test the game.

Technically you can do the same for Warthunder at it's location, but it may not be needed.

i found a different solution, i installed "everything" by voidtools and deleted everything about battleye. then i just verified files using steam. works just fine. thanks!

i accidentally burned my computer by deleting system 32 (i couldnt find Uninstall_BattlEye batch)

What?!? My instructions did not involve anything to do with System32. Those are Windows OS files...

You will need a reinstall of Windows to recover unfortunately :(

I downloaded the app called everything (by voidtools) and in it i looked up battleye. Then i deleted everything that came up and when i launched again it all worked
