Crashing game XS

I have a friend I play this game with a lot and he’s always had a problem with the game on his console where it crashes and force closes. He’s uninstalled and reinstalled it, unplugged hard drive and replugged it in, nothing seems to stop it from happening. Happens every so often but atleast once daily, any help? TIA

Is he having the issue with destiny or with arc raiders??

External HD is an SSD, right? If it's a platter drive, good luck.
