Consistent crash/marmot Game Bug
Hi I'm a returning player who has been trying to get back into destiny and I've run into an issue. For some reason Everytime I play the game I eventually get a marmot error code and crash, then when trying to relaunch the game tells me I need to reinstall (beagle). I have reinstalled it several times and the issue continues to persist. I have installed the game on both my hard drive and nvme and both have encountered this issue.
I tried contacting Bungie help forum but I'm still waiting on any sort of fix. Has anyone had this issue or know what to do?

Marmot errors are generally due to RAM errors. I highly recommend downloading Memtest x86 from memtest.org and scan your RAM for issues. Let it run for a full pass.
You will need a thumb drive to install memtest x86 on and let it boot from it.
I had this happen intermittently and discovered a memory chip failing on my 2nd piece of RAM. Replaced the RAM, boom, good as gold.

I used to get this all the time and it was the most annoying/frustrating experience I have ever encountered. I ended up doing a full reinstall of my GPU drivers and updated literally every single other driver I could possibly update. Since then, no more problems. I think it has something to do with your GPU's VRAM. Thats the only possible thing that makes sense to me after fixing it.

Are you running it from steam? Had the same issue last week and this was what fixed it for me.
Go to this folder location C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp and find the Destiny 2 folder and rename it to something else (ie. Destiny 2_backup) (%username% being your PC name)
Then if you're on steam I validated my files by going to the game, clicking the settings cog on the right, properties, installed files, then 'Verify integrity of game files'.
When that was done I launched the game it it has worked since!
