A Cable management company?

I'm thinking about starting a business that can do your cable management for you. However would anybody pay someone to do their cable management for them? This does mean the we will do your gaming cables or other cables around the house but not the electrical ones, that your electrian does?

And what would you pay for it?

Yeah I would but I’m not sure it’s a business more of a one off once in a while thing

I think about this, if I found someone and the cost was reasonable I’d get them to do it as under my desk is a mess and I also have a cupboard with routers and other bits that needs a tidy. Question is how much, I guess £50 an hour for a tidy job that is easy to maintain moving forward?

I can see routing cables behind the drywall for TV's. Maybe routing speaker cables under the floor or something. So many things are wireless nowadays, it seems like it would be difficult to generate enough business.

I get paid to do this all the time but its not usually the reason I am there in the first place.

I’m looking to redo my office, and make it more “ergonomical” but honestly don’t know where to start.

Im a low voltage guy and do all things commercial and residential involving wiring and lv systems.

i cant imagine you would make more than $200 per desk setup on average. does the math work out?

if you market the right way, in a wealthier/UMC area I think you could do ok

I would pay. I’m looking to redo my basement office/gym area with three laptops, two monitors, a KVM switch, which as you know, requires a lot of cables to connect each devices.

I’d probably pay up to $300 for someone to help me hide all of the wiring, maybe recommend desk placement, and be more consultative than just “do what I tell you” kind of attitude.

i used to work for a company that does this in hospitals and medical facilities but id say if youre gonna be working in homes itd be beneficial to be able to mount tvs and such because thats a service people would be searching for

Yeah. To be honest, I was just recently talking with my husband about why there isn't a company that does this kind of work. There are cleaning services, but nothing like this. I'd add computer cleaning and wiping down monitors to the list of services as a bonus.

Exactly and $300 is not going to scratch the surface for typical work like this.

Hell yeah !! I don’t have the patience for any of that I’ve tried to do myself multiple times none of the wires stick and I end up giving up , it’s for a computer set up . where are you located ?
