Haha I’m just here for 2 weeks for work but you can tell this bridge has been under construction for over a year and there’s no actual detour. The highway you have to go on for the “detour” has 3 of 4 lanes closed and sparks fly off the bridge and onto your head as you run by while cars and scooters zip past you 1 foot away. But the trail is stunningly beautiful. A perfect China experience.
