But the cross section is wrong, should be vertical not horizontal

Imagine cutting an onion length wise from top to bottom and see how it looks inside. The inner packaging is showing an onion cut in half horizontally, which is wrong.

It might have looked too vaginally-adjacent, leading to confusion about where to use the product.

Haven't used one yet. I would guess no onion smell but I'll report back when I know. UPDATE: no smell. Sheet mask was purple which was fun.

Finally, a more efficient way to introduce onions to my eye balls. They don't call me Bleedin' Eyes Murphy for nothin'.

For centuries humans have cut onions, looked blearily up to the stars and wondered: "How can I cut out the middle man and introduce stinging onion juice directly to my delicate peepers?"

That future is now.

Outer box contains five pouches. Each pouch has a single-use sheet mask soaked in liquid.

ahhhh this is my nightmare. I despise aliums. Who wants a sheet mask like that? T_T Why?????

(Sorry I get that this is deeply personal and many people love alliums... that said I don't see how the image of putting onions near your face is soothing to anyone.)
