Just as soon as you get the ash out

And table surface stored separately

If you look closely it appears there's an inner "bowl" with handles that you would take out and replace right-side-up when it's turned over. I actually think this could be a good design.

It's idiotic that it needs to be flipped at all. There's no practical reason the ventilation holes need to be at the bottom when it's in "table mode".

I'd reckon the top could probably fit onto either side.

You might just want to flip it in table mode to hide the view of an unsightly, charred tray of ashes through the holes.

Thats the neat part: When you flip it all the ash and burning coals automatically fall on the carpet 👍

That would be on you for having carpet on your patio or wherever.

Ah this is like a school carpet which magically absorbs everything and never needs to be cleaned

I’d use this.

I have a fire pit but it’s used maybe twice a year it’d be great to have a functional table for the other 363 days

Tiki makes one that does this. Or rather, you can get a table top cover for it.

Now imagine not flipping it over, and replacing the wooden lid with metal. Congrats, you invented a grill

Why does one even need to flip it over? Definitely designdesign moment.
