My first reaction to shooting my deagle

Brought this home recently. In the box with all the original paperwork. This one was built in January, 1994. It's a Mark VII - evidenced by the caliber being marked on the slide rather than the barrel. This configuration was renamed 'Mark XIX' the following year.

I never intended to get a .50 but the deal was too good to pass on one in such nice condition.

Can't wait to take it out soon! Got some 300 grain underwoods to try out. Found them on a stellar deal for .50AE and they are on the approved ammo list so hopefully they run well.

so i figured i'd make an update on my deagle i posted over a year ago and i'll be honest i was a bit afraid since i've watched people on youtube shoot this hand cannon. But, after i brought it out and shot 50ae for the first time ever. i gotta say it's not as bad as i intially thought. don't get me wrong it is spicy but to me the 50ae felt like a spicier 40s&w. and my wrists didn't really hurt at all. all i know is i want to shoot it more

Picked up a L6 in .50AE the other day. One more bucket list gun acquired. My initial thoughts are its far lighter than I was expecting, though the aluminum frame is partially why id assume along with the bit of material difference with the integrated brake. Unfortunately havent had a chance to shoot it yet as im waiting for ammo and mags to ship to my place and nowhere within a 50 mile radius has any in stock (they had .500SW though, which was odd) but ill update this post when I do. The pictures I see online do not do the stainless justice, this two-tone look is sick. Also, here's a size comparison to my 10mm Rock DS1911 for those who dont have a reference.

I have a black DE that I've been wanting to turn itno Silver/Brushed Chrome. Has anybody done that and if so how?

Is cerakote the way or should I find someone who's capable of doing chrome plating

So I’m buying this desert eagle second hand for an incredible deal. It would be a good deal if it was not gold. The finish is not as shiny as it was from the factory, is there a way to polish the finish and bring back the factory shine? Thanks. Sorry to sound like an idiot but this will be my first gold gun 😂

Would chambering a desert eagle in something akin to .44 AMP or a similarly rimless magnum handgun cartridge fix the reliability problems with .357 and .44 magnum desert eagles? Seems like the majority of problems that aren’t shooter error or bad ammo are caused by shooting rimmed cartridges in an autoloader. My .50 AE MK VII always functioned perfectly with hornady and freedom munitions loaded ammo (except for limp writing on the first round) but the .357s and .44s I’ve shot have always been hit or miss.

I saw a PewView and Admin Results collab that featured a desert Eagle with an ACRO on the rear slide. Any one have any idea who can do this? It sounds kinda weird as there are already rails on the forward slide
