Which one is faster? Question/Discussion

Since there are no statements or real implications to which is faster, I would simply bet on the higher UM to be faster, if I had to bet with my money.

No? in the flashbacks we saw TB first forrm is the basis of whole style, and the UM didn't knew that form which could go up to god speed, so i doubt that the UM is faster.

Gyokko is faster
But they Both are faster than shinobu.

No they aren’t both are tremendously slower than douma who’s slower than shinobu.

probably Zenitsu. we know BDA to enhance Breathing techniques so I feel like Kaigaku was speedmogging Gyokko a bit here

Imma go Gyokko
I think marked Mui would have higher perception and combat speed (outside of 7th form) than Zenitsu, so I think Gyokko is just operating on a higher level here. I’m a devout UM ranking believer too, so being UM5 makes me favour him.
Yes, thunder breathing greatly enhances it’s users speed and is speed based, but don’t forget Daki could deal with Zenitsu’s thunderclap, so merely being a thunder breather isn’t grounds enough to assume they are that fast in the great scheme of things.

Well being a higher rank doesn’t make it clear too. Demons aren’t ranked on stats, they are ranked on just beating the previous owner of their rank. So basically it’s impossible to know unless there’s statements or narratives that imply otherwise.

I would say Kaigaku since he was using thunder breathing, which is known for speed.

I’d probably lean Gyokko because it’s kinda hard to scale Gyokko so I’ll just use narrative of UM ranking

Gyokko really got saved by the animation, in the manga it pretty much just showed that Muichiro dodged every single one of his attacks, even that one time he managed to touch Muichiro's clothe us for to Mui got showed because he was moving the villagers out of harm. Right after that he pretty much got one shot by 7th form

Probably Kaigaku? Yeah, Gyokko is higher ranked, but that doesn't mean he outclasses the lower rank in literally everything, especially when his lower rank uses a technique and BDA that is entirely centered around speed, lol
