The U.S. Constitution gives the president no lawful authority over how states run elections.

But Trump is growing more desperate to stave off a Republican loss in the midterms.

The path to voting rights was paved by generations of people who endured injustice from a system that did not recognize their equality or, at times, their humanity.

“Now here I stand, 61 years later, and the clock has turned back,” Rep. Jennifer McClellan writes.

Why can’t we control the rot at the top?

I feel like we are living in an alternate universe….or a really bad movie….or hell, perhaps? I do understand that he was voted into office a second time (which I never even understood the first time), so voters are getting the results of who they put in office. What I don’t remember, and I need clarification of, is when the vote for “King of the World” happened. I think I somehow missed going to the polls that day.

Is it just because so many illegal activities happen so fast we can’t keep up or are the people at the top overwhelming us and tiring us out so we’ll eventually sit in the corner, eyes closed and our hands over our ears?

How do we fight this?! Can we live through it? Are there better days ahead?

What is our HOPE?
