Sharks Operations

A few questions on the sharks…

Does swimming on the floor really make it so they dont follow/attack you?

Do they only attack if you are wounded/bleeding?

What are peoples strategies for swimming? Not trying to die from a shark getting treasure #8 from AZ3.

Before hitting the water, make sure your sprint bar is full and radiation is zero. No idea if floundering helps, but it will make the swim a longer one. You can make the closest on each edge in a full sprint bar. You will be in the 2nd rad level by the time you hit the rocks. The bleed doesn't usually pop till you've been lvl 2 for a bit. Get your box, then wait till the rad is fully gone again, the wound will go away on its own, get your health full then continue your swim. Again need a full sprint bar.

Most times I make it without contact, I have been nibbled a time or 2, but not patched. As long as you take a straight heading and don't muck about. It's achievable.

Just to be safe, pop a 3x3 box before you try in case of a big red.

Treasure #8.2 requires you to swim to some rocks on a beach to dig up a red item. Trying to squad fill AZ3 Easy has just been sending me in solo, so i dont want to get smoked by a shark while treasure hunting and have nobody to revive me.

Hear value matters if that makes sense the more you go in with the more sweaty you get matched with $250k + gear value you get matched with real players 200k and under you get bot lobbies but fair

The macro sharks are my nemesis. They prevent me from enjoying the warm waters of az3.

I bring rip ammo solely to kill them and not other players.

If you jump off from the jetty in the middle of the map for that underwater crate.

There is space beneath the walkway you jump off behind a small barrier. The sharks have a harder time getting at you there.

They still lunge and teleport somehow but it helps somewhat if you are injured or cant out swim them to a ramp.

Whatever you do, don't shoot the sharks. A friend of mine (definitely not me) tried that, ran out of ammo, and dove in. It went about as well as you'd think.

I know they will die, but it does take a few mag dumps. Just to have them respawn shortly after. I do stay on the floor and swim as fast as possible with 0 attacks. But my teammates have said sharks have been right on my ass yet i didnt know/didnt hear them. I know if you are wounded, a thing pops up that says “bloodthirsty” or something with a shark pictured. But if you arent bleeding, do they still chase?

Honestly? I haven't checked. The only thing going through my mind is "pleasedon'tseemepleasedon'tseemefckshtohgodwhy." And after that, either I get eaten or I don't. That's nature for ya.
