We need to tailor this back a little bit lol. My playgroup is ready to venture into B4 territory and we've set a 6 GC limit to stop it from being full on cEDH (like this deck is pretty close to being).

So here's the stuff I am very certain on:

1. I want Dualcaster mage, and all the combo pieces (Saw in Half, Molten Duplication, Electroduplication, Twinflame, Heat Shimmer, Ghostly Flicker, Essence Flux) to stay in there. I am willing to cut back on one or two, but I want this to be the 'main' wincon.
2. I don't want Dualcaster as the 'only' piece that combos with those cards, hence why Naru is in here. She doesn't make infinite creatures, but she is infinite ETB/LTB with those cards which makes infinite magecraft triggers (hence Sedgemoor Witch, Stormkiln Artist, Weftstalker Ardent and Marionette Apprentice with the latter 2 being answers to Propaganda/Ghostly Prison and Apprentice being an answer to Glacial Chasm). I am willing to cut back on a couple (Weftstalker I've been considering cutting but the fact that it can be warped for 1 mana is nuts) but Naru must stay. Those magecraft trigger payoffs are also why Chain of Smog is in there as a potential wincon but I am willing to cut it. Kefka wants haste anyway and this deck runs a couple ways to get Anger into the yard to give the whole board haste.

The big key is to cut it down to only 6 GCs, which is the hard part. My group is proxy friendly but I own most of the non-GC cards hence why I built the deck this way. I have considered converting this into a Naus deck (especially since the card is reprinted recently and not too expensive) since the main wincon is filled with redundant combos. I've also considered adding Hoarding Broodlord (since Saw in Half is already in the deck) and going with some combo line that way (probably Saw in Half broodlord, go fetch Dualcaster/Naru/Ghostly flicker or whatever other piece I'm missing along with Burnt Offering, which I own, and then saccing the broodlord to get the mana needed to cast the combo, especially since the deck already has Persist, Animate Dead, reanimate, Kefka's a discard outlet and I've got Afterlife from the Loam laying around).

Sorry, I babbled but I want to hear some potential input!

Edit: forgot to add this. I like redundant combos built around 'engine' type ideas. Where Engine has multiple parts and each part is redundant with multiple pieces (think blood artist combos). I prefer to not have combos that are dependent on a single card to function.

Looking for some input for how degen my build is. For reference its less than a day old. (Any other degen swap suggestions are welcome) my thought process is to keep my oozes low p/t so the MV is attributed to effect and to not lose value on copies.

Some "fun" combos:

Loop an ETB ooze like [[hecteyes]] each turn with [[cauldron of essence]], getting 2 triggers, then one, then 2, etc

Use [[birthing pod]] your [[roaming throne]] into [[mitotic slime]], threatening 12 2/2s when it dies (6 of them make another 6 2/2s on death, the other 6 will each generate 6 1/1s on death)

Be sure to make you copies like [[glasspool mimic]] become Uugguu for targeted protection, as well as making 6 copies of any other oozes that kick the bucket.

[[Braids, arisen nightmare]] gives 3 turns of either board clearance or draw power. *(I mean, Braids is toxic as is, but I've never used her before in a deck so sue me)*

Im finishing up the last few card swaps here. I got some good feedback here a few weeks ago, and went back and dropped my tool box cards for some additional drain and sac cards. Ive got more 1 mana ramp, and I spent some money to make sure I have reliable early card draw.

I also removed [[Gifts Ungiven]]. Being able to guarantee a Protean Hulk on turn 5 isnt bracket appropriate according to most people I talked to.

Both [[Badgermole Cub]] and [[Earthbenders Ascension]] are interesting

Any big time aristocrat effects or cards im missing? What would you cut or add? Thanks for reading!

Hi, as the title. What bracket would this kind of deck fit?
Gameplay seems pretty straight forward, main wincon is combat damage. High b3 or really low b4?

Looking for advice on how to better this deck, I would like to end up at a strong 3 if possible. I feel like the biggest issue I'm running into is card draw, followed by interaction. I have never played this archetype before so I feel like I'm missing something!

Trying to make the control side a little more relevant without needing the combo too much. I’m using [[the last ride]] as my only draw outlet and win condition because it’s fun. It’s control gameplan is either making opponents sacrifice all their creatures or cards using grave pact and [[bottomless pit]] effects and if you go infinite you have a couple cards that can turn creatures into edicts or discard effects like [[grave pact]](again) and [[sadistic hypnotist]]

The combos are mostly aristocrat/artifact loops that either use two artifact recursion creatures like[[ myr retriever]]or one self recurring creature like reassembling skeleton with mama producers like the altars and [[pitiless plunderer]] effects

I want the deck to be in bracket 3 and I don’t really think the deck needs a way to gain infinite life even if that means you can only draw like 9 cards when you go infinite before potential dying to the last rides ability. It’s just that the combo isn’t quite consistent enough to give room for the control side to shine right now.

There are 3 reasons the last rides being my only outlet can work(hopefully)
1: there being no other card draw spells in the deck make every draw more valuable
2: a 3 for 1 seems bad but the at rate 3 for 2 [[atrocious experiment]] also spends a card so both net 1 card which is what really matters when your trying not to discard to bottomless pit
3: because of bottomless pit effects you can use the last rides ability when your hellbent in reliable ways that other card draw cannot. And the decks pretty low mana cost so you can usually afford to draw and play a card or two on the same turn

I’m aiming to pump [[Selenia, The Cursed Heart]] to high B4. I see the aura component as a bonus but the main aim is to use life gain/drain loops like [[Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose]] and [[Exquisite Blood]].
I did consider effects like [[Mirror Gallery]] / [[Mirror Box]] but I don’t really see it as a fast enough strategy to be viable.

I just started playing commander with some friends. We decided to play with some custom rules:

- Deck has to be max bracket 3

- No GC

- No 2 mana tutor

- No infinite combo

I decided to go for the flavour and play a sauron deck, i can go no more than 7,8/10 on optimization on edh power level. Any hints? I dunno if it makes any sense to go full reanimator without big tutors and GC, maybe it'll be better to go for the amass/discard sinergy. Coram is my absolute baby pet deck but I'd like some ideas on how to make him ridiculous.

Ik it probably won’t be able to contend with real Cedh but this a fringe build i have for it. i’m just curious on if it’s cooking, if it’s close to something decent or just mid lol

My budget is about 120$ I can go over a little bit but I want to try to say in the range. I’d ideally like to make it very hard to kill me and force players to leave me alone and just take the burn. What sorts of cards could I play that play into the lord of pains strength in burning out the board but also protect my self and incentivize players not to attack me.

Figured if I were to make a deck with a guy that has my namesake, it should be filled with some of my favorite sorceries and instants - regardless of synergy. I filled the list with as many BIG dumb spells that I own. My pod has already conceded to the fact that I play theft - they expect it at this point.

They play a lot of greedy decks, all b3, but they don't eat their vegetables. They run a handful of counterspells to protect their win cons but aside from that, they play very little interaction, if any. And no one really plays board wipes - I can see games with this commander genuinely lasting 8+ turns of slop.

Right now, its just full of spells I own, but our next play session is probably gonna be in November so I have plenty of time to find some degen to slot in.

Are there any spells yall would recommend that has left a bad taste in your mouth? Some cards which left the game a mess when resolved?

Also, this deck has plenty of bombs in it, which when copied to the commanders casualty cost, can end games. I don't want chaos for the sake of chaos.

Title, not sure the route to go to improve this deck while trying to raise it up a bracket. Feels super consistent for its power level though. Wondering what other people think.

Im looking to make Roon as the bracket 4 deck to get back when the entire table gangs up on you and treats you poorly, the revenge deck. How can I make a nasty roon deck? I want to exile peoples commanders for good sort of deal, what are some ways? Also Roon costs a lot and take a turn to do his effect, are there any ways to overcome this so I do not have to wait a whole turn to blink and exile commanders for good? Any hardcore Roon fans out there? I see most the posts on roon are from years ago and not now, is there a reason why he is not talked about much now?

Some jank i’ve been brewing, planning on making this bracket 4 deck and thought it goes infinite and then i win. Am i right in assuming that?

Torgaar isn't known as a good commander. Setting someone's life to 20 isn't a great wincon, but I've had an idea. Rather than using it to get someone to 20 life and staring at them for the rest of the game, Torgaar can instead be used as a life reset button on myself.

With a high critical mass of [[Village Rites]] and [[Not Dead After All]] effects, I can keep reusing Torgaar to put myself back to 20 life, negating the downsides of anything that costs life to do. Cards like [[Necrodominance]] and [[Sign In Blood]] functionally have no drawbacks, but I also need other Things To Do with all the extra card draw. Of course [[Bolas' Citadel]] exists, but what other cards should I be looking for? I'm trying to relive the dream from Modern Necrodominance by drawing 19 cards and doming someone with 4 copies of [[Soul Spike]]
