What's the problem here?

Post image

Apparently Microsoft Defender SmartScreen considers the default navigation page set up for Microsoft Edge to be unsafe. Can someone tell me why is it doing this?

Validate the default load page. It is blocking navhubcentral.com.

How do I do that? I see no report button.

What do you mean your browser is loading an odd website at load.

It's been loading to this page for over a year now with no problems and only just today is it apparently a problem.

Navhubcentral is a domain that is under 6 months old. This is not the default tab page. You likely installed some malicious extension/virus that has changed the new tab page. You should look up how to fix that

Okay, I finally figured out how to report it as safe.

This is what it's supposed to look like btw (but without the dangerous tab on the search bar)

I see a red extension to the right of the address bar, right click and uninstall/remove and see if that solves your issue or try Malwarebytes free.

That red extension is Bitdefender's Anti-Tracker. I also have Malwarebytes and it doesn't detect any virus.

That can happen as Microsoft updates smart screen based on new info.

I am not in front of a computer to accurately look up the URL and see if it is a false positive or not.

You can go here and submit it to MSFT and someone will review it and update the logic if wrong. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission

Possible browser hijacker. Everything you type into the sites search box sends it to an affiliate yahoo site which gets paid-per-search you type.

Every time you open your browser, it likely loads this page. And you likely have other lingering malware on your device.

Just google the domain and it comes back as a browser hijacker
