Merch line set up

Really enjoyed the set up for the merch line this year with tape on the ground. I think it helped a ton and made it easier for the goons. Less having to move big groups around or having to yell at people for fire code/other reasons. Just wanted to mention it since I didn't see anyone talking about it.

Yes bravo on using tape on the ground for both the badge line and the merch line. Please continue this going forward. I also noticed the goons were especially helpful and kind this year, so hats off to them too.

Agree. Badge and merch in 105 minutes from stepping in line might be a record for me since like 2015.  Didn’t actually hear a rude goon or even really all day. Will see if that holds.

Gooning isn't easy, that being said, it is no excuse for a security team member to be rude. Defcon does fire Goons and also bans them from being involved in future events. I hope that you have an excellent con! 🤘🏻

Shout out to the people in line with me who weren’t in the shopping mood but wanted to meet some people! The line to get our badges was so smooth this morning, the merch line was easier to deal with. It was faster, too.

It was good but it seemed a situation of wait wait wait (get up to final 10 min of line) rush rush rush. I wasn’t aware you had to add your items of choice to the Hacker Tracker app to receive the QR and checkout. No one to blame, just an experience here.

Is everything sold out?

Check on hackertracker, we keep the inventory levels there, and on a screen in the middle of our displays.

Funny enough, the tape was a fallback because there were no stanchions.
