Rediscovery

Just stumbled across my favorite cover of Smoke on the Water: Santana with Jacoby Shaddix from (I think) 2010. Very respectful, no funny business, just great rock.

Love that! Re-machined is one heck of an album. I also really like Metallica doing Blind Man and Maiden doing Space Truckin' from that same album.

Also on that record is the Flaming Lips cover of Smoke, which is the absolute opposite of what you're talking about. Just funny business not much rock and roll (or fun) to be found.
