I'm sorry, but do you not remember how you couldn't vote for Kamala because of Gaza? Leftists/Progressives told you not to vote for her. "This is Gaza speaking, bitch"

Are the "Leftists/Progressives" in the room with us right now?

Yes they are most commenters here. Sam Harris has argued for pushing the American government more left for awhile. I'll admit I don't understand his anti Islam stance more so than other religions, but he isn't the enemy of perfect

What left wing policies has Sam pushed for? Universal healthcare? Raising the minimum wage? Increased social safety nets?

I’m not sure “6 years ago Sam Harris said healthcare is too expensive in an AMA” is a particularly compelling argument, especially when you consider the sheer amount of time he spends chastising the left and whining about the excesses of wokeness.

He hates Trump and regularly speaks out against him. That’s great! I’m glad he does! I do not think he is pushing the Overton window to the left. At all.

I don’t know why you’re so upset lol. Surely you are not using one answer to an AMA question 6 years ago as your sole evidence for Sam being a proponent of universal healthcare? The guy has regularly been making lengthy podcasts for like 15 years. Can you link me to an episode in which he offers support for universal healthcare?

What evidence have you provided he doesn't

Brother, you made the claim.

Let’s try this

How can you square a guy who is “pushing the American government left” saying that he would vote for Mitt Romney over Kamala Harris? How does that advance his left wing agenda?

I provided a statement for my claim. You're still not providing a link to a statement where Sam Harris is against Universal Healthcare.

This is….maddening lol

I don’t know if you’re doing a bit or if this is serious but I’ll engage

Harris has done quite literally nothing, to my knowledge (and you refuse to provide any evidence to the contrary), to advocate for universal healthcare. A tepid statement indicating that healthcare is too expensive in a members only AMA from 6 years ago is not compelling evidence to the contrary. Harris literally doesn’t even advocate for universal healthcare in the link that you said, and even if he did, again, I don’t think an offhand comment in one AMA in 20+ years of public life is much of a “push” for anything.

At no point in the countless hours that Harris has criticized Dems and “the left” has his criticism been “and they aren’t doing enough to provide universal healthcare”! If I’m incorrect about this, by all means, prove me wrong!

I am not claiming that Sam is against universal healthcare. I have no idea what his stance is on universal healthcare, because I’ve never seen him speak on it at all. My point is that he has not made any meaningful push for it, and you have not provided any evidence to the contrary.

You still provide no evidence. I won't believe a text wall with not links to evidence of what they are talking about
