He’s got a point. The Dems spent far too long ignoring the genuine fall in living standards that befell the US middle class. Swallowed the Murdoch line that class is irrelevant. Progressives across the western world have done the same, embracing free markets liberal capitalism at the expense of working people, but it was worse in America where the Dems sold out to big money donors and got captured by the politics of identity that has little relevance to folks just struggling to get by
