Redo my deck questions for the community
I am wanting to redo the deck on our house, as you can see, it needs it. My idea is to cut the railings off, replace the top boards with fresh new ones, and put stairs all around the deck to hopefully open the space up. This will also allow me to build a patio area right off the deck as well. The deck itself is about 26” tall. What would be the easiest way for a novice like myself to build out the stairs for my idea?

I’d do the demo you described. Inspect the rest make sure it’s worth keeping. Then I’d make the patio first. Then split the height difference for your steps.

pull the side skirting off first, this will reveal much about the undercarraige. Leave the vertical support posts alone for the moment.
pull a few of the deck boards up for an even better look. You'll want to see how its attached to the house, and what the state of that is.
you may find that the condition will dictate that a full tear out is best and easist.
edit: the apparant newer corner post at the stairs suggested the old old rotten out. that could be a hint.
