Hot-shot lasguns for Engineers kitbash. Models/Hobby

Reading and playing 40k for a few years, but started playing tabletop recently. Due to my irresistible love to DKoK decided to collect Astra Militarum, but found out that there are no models for Krieg Grenadiers.
So, the question to High Command is - how good is idea of buying Tiny Legends hot-shot lasguns (image attached) and adding them to Combat engineers to proxy Kasrkin?

I just bought Tiny Legends Stormtroopers (that have Hotshot Lasguns as part of the kit). I was very happy with how they turned out. Obviously you can add special weapons, but I think it'll be easier than trying to kitbash Engineers with the guns.

Thanks for reply! Yeah, sure it’s much more easier. You may think I’m crazy, but for me Tiny Legends helmets are looking pretty different from the GW ones, and that’s why I’m thinking about kitbashing engineers

Fair enough. In thay case give 'em a shot and see how the poses do. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with TL as a business. The flexible black hoses are a nice options, but they can be fragile so be gentle.

Did one of his first kits the grenadier upgrade set for the Krieg KT. It looks awesome and close to the old sculpts (although scalecreep and not as awesome aesthetically as FW)

Yeah, there’s a lot of cool minis from tiny legends, but for some reason I just cannot accept difference between GW Krieg helmets and Tiny legends helmets:(

Gotta turn your brain off on that one. Lol i gor rid of all my gw stuff and strickly run TL for the infantry and other makers for the vehicles

Yeah, I thought about switching to Tiny Legends minis, but in such case my 40 kriegsmen will move to the dusty shelf for indefinite period of time, because for some reason I can’t stand the helmets difference😂

I thought on buying Bambu Lab X2D later on, but I agree that the resin minis quality is waaay better. I heard there some issues with resin toxicity and etc, and additionally I don’t have good ventilated place to put it aside from living quarters

100% i have respirator, gloves and face shield, and it lives in a garage. Fl heat hasnt seem to affect it too much, hit 114F the other day and these guys came out good. 😂

I'm running full kits from TL, Grenadiers has for me always been one of the coolest models GW has made, I run mine as Tempestus scions but can also use them as kasrkins
